Good morning all from a very unsettled Weston-super-Mare! Woke to a thunderstorm this morning!

Morning all from a currently dry Jersey, although it looks like we had rain overnight and the forecast is for some showers and winds potentially to F6. I'm sailing to France this evening, so that should be fun if it's F6 while we're sailing!

Nervous father time - A level results out today and here's hoping jerzeypie has got what he needs.

Morning all, bright and sunny here at present, but the forecasters seem uncertain about what will happen later. :(

This evening our lanes are closed for the annual cycle race that starts off two days of commune fun. After the race there is a disco for the younger members of the area. Think I might go if I can stay awake long enough. ;)

Tomorrow I will be dishing up chips by the thousand before watching the open air show and fireworks. That will finish about midnight, then the dancing for the not so young starts. I am told that it finishes when the last oldie drops. <laugh>

Moring all from a rather damp Bandit Country. I am off to London this afternoon for a bit of culture. Mrs W_Y and I are going for afternoon tea at The Shard and then off to the Royal Opera House to see Swan Lake. What a week of contrasts - an evening at Chavenage watching the Mickey Mouse Cup and an evening watching Ballet!

    Thanks for the frothy AK

He didn't get what he needed - last I knew at 12.45 the person at the school who liaises with the Universities was trying to get him into Derby, which was his insurance offer but he still didn't get the grades they wanted.

Not exactly - whistle and flute this afternoon. I will be up your way next year BB, my nephew is getting married in July 2015' so will be attending. I am trying to stay a bit longer, but Mrs W_Y is struggling as it's term time and on a Friday! If I do, I will look you up and buy you a pint or 6

The Court of Arbitration for Sport upholds Luis Suarez's four-month playing ban but clears the Barcelona striker to train.

I'm sorry to hear that, Barry. If it's any help I completely messed up my A levels and eventually got a place at an obscure polytechnic, but still ended up with a PhD.

The answer is probably no - but would they have gone with a £8 admission price, again probably not, only the 30 diehards mentioned. So I don't think the club would lose out by much.

Interesting to see whether they do make more money by increased food & drink sales.

Towcester racecourse did something similar and i believe they have started to be more profitable. I suppose the key unknown is how much people will spend on food and drink.

The idea is to increase your fan base . We tried to do the same think in the passed by giving away free tickets to 100 kids (via cub packs)

I tried to get ashton to try the same type with Royston crow kids football league they had over 6,000 kids playing sundays , but then we got promoted so why give away when we filled the ground most weeks

Like all of us once Watford is in your blood it never goes away COYH
