What do we all think the team will be for Saturday? If I know Harry, and I think I do, it will be Cesar Isla, Dawson, Dunne, Caulker, Hill Mutch,Barton, Diarra Townsend Crouch
This should be the team and its the same as I would have picked (Isla only had one training session) But I bet Harry will drop Ned for Dunne! Now don't get me wrong I like Dunne but I think it has to be Ned and Caulker and then one of Rio, Dunne or Hill.
For me this is an easy pick. Green Onuoha Ferdinand Caulker Isla Traore Barton Henry Hoilett Austin Remy I'm not casting Faurlin out but I think he has to earn his place over Barton and should definitely be on the bench. In my opinion, Henry is in great form, looks extremely sharp and is the key to this formation working as he would really solidify things in midfield. Also, I have no preference between Traore and Yun. I'd be happy with either of them but I put Traore in my team above because he's the one most likely to play.
I'm still not convinced that Austin and Remy will work even if our French friend does stay. Similar types of player and neither are keen to lay the ball off. I see Crouch mentioned again jokingly but someone like that alongside either of these two would be a useful option. No one in the current squad can act as a target man if we end up chasing a game.
Sorry mate, it's just that he seems to have played most games pre season. Go on Shaun, get the ball! Good boy Shaun, run with it, run!...........don't worry Shaun, we have another ball, go get it!
Unfortunately Taarabt will not play for us again and hopefully the same goes for SWP unless we only have 10 fit players....
I strongly believe putting Hoilett up front is a mistake. He has been really good playing in the hole behind two strikers and actually said that's where he wants to play now. But he also isn't a natural striker type. And so I'd rather play Bobby up front if Remy can't play. By the way, I'm surprised no one wants to see Henry in the team. He's been one of the standouts in pre-season.
