i am sure jock will get you in. Twice I have done it for peeps on here, he wont want be seen as tighter than me!
£20 says we are above you with those league one and league two players, by the next time we play you
Morning troops. The side is coming together. Let's hope the Hock can put all the pieces together. Might take too long for thi season, but its shaping up to be one hell of a squad for next season.
He's right you know. I'd much rather have a center back who got relegated TO League 1 and a 34 year old striker who's done FA for the last 2 years, scoring 1 every 5 or 6 games.
You must realise Wicks, theta for some teams, a striker that scores once in every 5 or 6 games is known as their top striker and hero worshipped
Looks like you'll have another creak in your neck this season looking up Mighty. May I recommend massage to help with the problem
Afternoon Chaps, Firstly, ticket sorted for Leeds60, so we'll be at the meetup before & after the match. Next, a note of caution to you all. We're all getting a bit too carried away with our signings, and I include myself, btw. Good on paper or an inferior club/league is no guarantee that they'll be good for Leeds United. Don't forget that there's an added pressure for a player in a Leeds shirt, and you never know if they'll cope until they pull on the shirt. Let me take you back to last pre-season. Remember when we got really excited about signing 2 £1m players? Where are they now? Wooton gets a slating regularly when he plays (unfairly in my view), and Murphy has been more cold than hot. Same for Austin the previous season. Hopefully it won't happen with all of these players, but there's a good chance that one or two won't shine. Then again, got to admit I'm still excited after writing all this doom & gloom. That's football !!
Jock, point well made. The difference now is that we're playing proper footy. So any of these newbies fcoming from a plac used to playing proper footy rather than hoofball should fit in okay. Doukara apparently froze last Saturday. But I suspect he'll be one of the stars of the season now that he's off the mark, albeit against L2 opposition.
I'm more confident in the signings this season as opposed to previous seasons simply because they seem to be targeting specific areas which need strengthening, as opposed to Grayson's scattergun square pegs in round holes approach, or Warnock and McDonut's jobs for mates strategies
(Apologies for the lack of a match thread so far, manic day. Will be up at some point between now and tomorrow lunch!)
