I thought that, though perhaps there's an option of a further year at the club's choice?

Good price for the lad though, £2.4m is chump change for a Prem side and although I can't remember him in the World Cup (though I do remember an extremely fast full back at one point, may have been him?) he seems very highly rated and I read on Wiki that he was the first MLS Rookie since 2005 to get into the MLS All Star team, so it's a promising sign. I'm glad he's staying with the Sounders until January too, realistically his chances of playing right now would've been slim even with Walker's injury so getting more games under his belt will only be beneficial.

A cheap punt for a future prospect. Helps Levy in his continuing PR campaign in the USA.
Some have mentioned that Yedlin potentially fails the work permit tests at the moment (he is not
a regular USA international etc) , so he might not be able to come now even if Spurs need him.

More often than not, you can sign a player on appeal if their initial permit is rejected. Providing they're an international of some sort and I think it then usually gets based on potential/ future reputation/ future impact etc. So Spurs will make a case of him being the future for American football and will bring huge commercial revenue to both Britain and USA blah, blah, blah.

My American girlfriend was over during the world cup so i watched all of the USA games. He wasn't their first choice RB but i was VERY impressed by him when he came on early against Germany. No defensive mistakes and gave them a hell of a time with his energy/pace

Updated front page for Yedlin (and his loan back) - I've put it as till January but I've heard conflicting reports that he's either joining us after the MLS season finishes or he's joining us for the start of 2015/16 season...

If anyone knows for sure then let me know

Why don't we cut out all the heartache and take £85m off Real for him now?

I'd be quite surprised if he didn't come over at the end of the MLS season, after having a few weeks off, then go out on loan to another English club.
Getting six months under his belt in the game in this country would be very useful for him.
That's assuming that we'd be able to get a work permit for him, of course.

The MLS season starts in March, so he'll presumably have a few games under his belt before he joins us.

Harry Kane has signed a new 5 year contract with the club, taking him up to 2019. <ok>

Just in case anyone doesn't know what someone signing a contract looks like.

Good to see another one of our youth players breaking through and I think he's made a good impression on Pochettino in the pre-season.
He played out wide and as part of a front two and worked well in both situations, worked hard and put himself about, as well as putting the ball into the net.
Hope he gets an opportunity to push our other strikers this season.

Top stuff, i've got him as a cheapy in my fantasy football so i'm doubly hoping he does well.

Hopefully this puts the Kane to QPR rumours to bed

I'd rather have Remy + cash for Townsend but would Remy settle for third choice at best.

Me too (re. Townsend over Kane). Tbh, i'm not that bothered about having Remy fullstop, just messing around. I didn't think Kane was gonna make it at Spurs, but i actually think he looks a pretty tidy player now

How many pages does that bloody contract have? The longest contract I've ever signed was three pages long!
