with this guy crossing them in and Kenny Jones getting on the end of them we could be in for a very very good season. what about when noone comes back?
More competition for places. Got to be a good thing. Has Pilkington's signing been confirmed by the club yet?
I can't see us having a settled side this season. Leicester used 16 players last season. I wonder how many we will use. OGS is going to have a big job keeping all his midfielders happy. Pilkington is a good player but I don't think yet another player in this part of the field is the priority.
Three/four - Noone, Harris, Burgstaller (arguably) and now Pillkington but probably will only play one in each game.
Agree with whoops - thats' three vying for same position - Harris, Noone, Pilkington. Also if we use wing backs in in 3 centre backs formation add Fabio, Brayford. I think whoops meant midfielders, where we can field five max & we've got at least a dozen, cue a lot of disgruntled midfielders.
Noone and Harris are the only out and out wingers we've got - Burgstaller can play wide, but he's no winger. Worried that Noone is going to suffer from this recurring groin problem and will need some more radical invasive treatment rather than just rest. He could be out for a while. Although I've said before I think Harris deserves a shot, as an only option I'd be concerned. Pilks would give us an option out wide that we haven't got now. Strong and quick to go with it. Noone and Harris are quick but can get knocked off the ball - Burgi is strong, but lacks the pace of a true winger. Get Pilks in for that sort of money - worrying about the CB requirement is another matter.
Here's your centre back courtesy of Sky Sports News: We are hearing that Norwich winger Anthony Pilkington and Reading defender Sean Morrison are currently undergoing medicals at Cardiff.
Morrison, another one out of the blue. He's a big bu££er at 6 ft 4. Played in just under half of Reading's games last season but was then on loan at Huddersfield in the second half of the season. Looks well versed in the intricacies of the Championship. Was captain at Reading when McAnuff was out injured so looks like he has leadership qualities. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Morrison_(footballer) If we get them, they both have been Huddersfield players so may be interesting saturday if they play - probably unlikely if only signing today. That should then be the end of our summer inwards business. Just a few more to loan out or sell.
Mail has got it now as well. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
After being mainly Snow Whites little friends we could have a team of monsters this season with Dikagcoi, Adeyemi, Pilkington, Burgerstall and Morrison all being 6 ft plus. To add to Marshall, Hudson, Turner, Cala, Connolly, KTC and KWJ.
......'ang on - we've still Fabio and Declan to bite their ankles, and Daehli to run through their legs.........
Just looked at the Reading Hob Nob forum and it seems they have been slating Morrison long before this proposed transfer. I hope they are wrong.
Seems to be moving along - he's told them he wants out. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sean-morrison-cardiff-city-reading-7613823
Hasn't worked for Schneiderlin at Southampton yet - but at least this looks like Morrison has his club's consent.
