..... seem to have their heads a fair way up their own arseholes, why do they think they're so special?

Sunderland asking £8 million for a young English striker, widely tipped for England, is 'totally unrealistic'.

"It has been reported that West Ham have curtailed their pursuit of Sunderland centre-forward, Connor Wickham, at least for the time being! This is as a result of Sunderland rejecting a revised £5m bid for the player. One might have anticipated that Sunderland would have taken the £5m and cut their losses on a player entering the final year of his current contract. However, the Black Cats Manager, Gus Poyet, appears determined that Wickham will start the campaign at the Stadium of Light. Hence, the insistence upon an unrealistic £8m asking price. Sunderland now need to offer the improved terms necessary to convince the player to sign a new contract or they may well come to regret their rejection of West Ham’s bid."

This is a club who paid @ £17 million for Carroll who's only scored 55 goals in 7 years as a football player.

    That's 8 goals a season <doh>

I can't wait to see them scattered around the new ground ........ they think they're Arsenal but they're more like Fulham.

Never liked WHU as a club tbh, not sure why considering I do like Allardyce as a manager, just a general dislike for it

Never really encountered any of their fans though so can't comment on them

But Hull fans, Hull fans can f*ck off

I've never understood why there's supposed to be a 'link' with West Ham supporters tbh.

People say, 'oh they're working class people just like us etc etc' ....... most supporters are working class.

And blowing bubbles onto the pitch before matches ffs, how intimidating <doh>

Maybe you've just been unlucky then.
One of my best mates was a Hammer, unfortunately now, she lays in the ground in her coffin.
Nicer lass you'd have struggled to have met.
All clubs have ****ers attached, do you think our lot are all angels?

I tend to take people as I find them rather than use the tar brush.
Yes their club is run by three ****s but that's not their fault is it?
I've never met a Hammer yet who agree's with the O/S move.
I have met a few however that fought against it.

Are they still having that daft running track? Can you think of the 'banter' (hate that word) celebrations Nolan, Noble and 'kidder' Downing will come up with for there if they ever score a goal (Downing won't)... they'll have the hurdles out and the triple jump... maybe they'll get the 'Hammer' out, get it. FFS <doh>

Well like I say mate, I take folk as I find them.
There's mags I'd run through brick walls for because I know they'd do the same for me.
I remember one time I was drinking in a Dunston pub with Janie & her brothers.
Word went round the bar that there was a mackem in.
A bloke challenged me about it.
Her oldest brother stood up, all 6'4" of him & said 'yes & the mackem's with us. Got a ****ing problem?'
The lad & his marra's ****ed off to somewhere else at half time.

It's like I say, I dinnet give a rats arse who somebody supports as long as they are a good person.
I mean just look at the people that come on here.
We have Terry, Mexican Twat, QWOP, Baldy Jimmy, Yid Vicious, Brady Bunch.
All great lads, that's why I love this site, you can interact with lads from other clubs.

I've met a fair few Hammers over the years, mainly sound like.

Don't mind West Ham, I think all things equal if you were saying 'who is on a par with us', it'd be West Ham, both had glory, yoyo years, idiocy and the odd bit of class.

No problem with them at all, although the muppets at the top are pure bellends.

I've seen the best and the worst of them..Ended up in a battle when we were queueing to get in there ground there one year, and then a couple of years later had a cracking evening in their supporters club before a night match..

There are only half a dozen or so teams can realistically say they are a bigger club than us and West Ham certainly arent one.

I base club size on history, fan base, stadium and facilities and to a degree current standing.

We are top 7 in all categories bar the last. The last category is a grey area because I wouldn't consider Hull bigger than Forest for example despite them being in the top flight and playing in europe. Its a mix of all of the above for me.

West Ham have one thing on us and that's the fact they are in London and that helps with players recruitment especially from abroad.
