Wrong again. In fact you couldn't be more wrong, as I said he was a great signing on here from the off, when many of your own were at best meh about it. But Welbeck is gash. A striker who doesn't score goals, no ta. We were linked with him and I wept at the thought. He's ****ing garbage.
You are right in that he can only play the one role so perhaps that is a little contradictory from me since I've object to Bony but I don't agree with you entirely as I think Negredo is much more mobile than Bony, definitely a better finisher too.
and prob what i read and as it was such a marvellous idea i had to make sure everyone knew #allaboutmitoloveforgreez.
nah... hes not a great finisher... that why hes the crappier version but hull will do great business if they can sell long who can't score and buy welbeck... who can't score!
His finishing isn't good enough to play as an out and out striker. He's better supporting the striker a bit like Lallana who scored the same number of league goals as Welbeck last season, albeit in 38 appearances as opposed to Welbeck's 25. As you've already spent £25million on Lallana to sit on the bench it would be madness to invest another £14million in Welbeck.
we're looking at signing Romero (argentinian gk, 27 yo) for around £2m. I'd be happy with that, looked good at the world cup and gotta be better than Jones
I think Welbeck is a solid player. But not the striker we need. For me he is the Kuyt type. Works hard, always running, tracking, pressing, closing down, puts in a great shift every time. But doesnt score enough goals.
