So we've been here before - start of the new league season looms, expectations high, pre-season went well and looking forward to the start of the new season in the league.

I can't help but think that I am even more optimisitc after the past cpl of weeks:

    i) First ever European campaign is continuing and looking positive
ii) No major injuries and the squad look fit
iii) Some really good signings and the strength of the squad increases
iv) We sold a player for over £12M (not a positive, but this is over £12M . . . . for a City player!!!)
    v) We have been linked to a current England striker - City being linked with Welbeck in the national media was something I would not have thought possible - EVER.
vi) Bloke at work put Hudds and Elmo in his fantasy football team - yes you heard right!! Two City players in a fantasy football league. Can things get any better??!!??

Surely this is the best time ever - what do the rest of you think???? Am I right to be optimisitic or is it just start of season hype and reality will dawn after the first few games???

I am gutted to be missing the first few games, but will find a bar in Spain.

As wonderful as top drawer signings are & as rousing as the Europa League is, my biggest thrill for the coming season is that we're still Hull City AFC

    Likewise.

I'd also like to see who our new first choice striker is before I get too carried away about the coming season.

Just need AA to drop the name change and then Kempton can return to watching Hull City.

    :)

Very important we don't lose supporters because of the name change stuff.

Think we will finish 14th and might just get to the league cup final.

Any finish above 16th would make this our most successful season ever.

Not bothered about Wembley again but want to progress in Europe, progress with the Academy upgrade and see a plan to extend the stadium. Keep Steve Bruce and world domination awaits and delighted to still be Hull City AFC.
