    Good Morning Everyone,

Leeds have been drawn against Bradford in the next round of the Cup!!!

    Thoughts?

Rotherham and Selerno have been locked in talks regards talented winger Kieran Agard. Popular to belief, deal is a liitle way from being completed. Still works to do there.

Third time lucky for Billy Sharp. The 28 yo forward put pen to paper and signed a two year deal at Elland Road yesterday. The feel was set to be in the region of 1.8m. I see that as being a lot of money, especially when Adam Le Fondre only cost in the region of 1m. You'll recall Sharp had previously turned down Leeds twice before.

Are Leeds a bigger pulling power now Cellino is here, or has Sharp's expectations lowered since being dropped down the pecking order at St Mary's?

Liam Cooper has signed a 3 year deal last night. The 22 yo is 5'11 and plays centre back.

Giuseppe Bellusci passed his medical yesterday, and has signed a one year loan deal, with a permant deal in place, should he impress.

David Haigh has had all his asserts frozen in the UK. There's more to this one then meets the eye.

Morning Elland and all. I was just thinking would nt it be great if we didn't have to play any more games this season. Positivity about the club is such a pleasant change.
Agree a lot more to Haigh than first thought. Seems to be a lot of talk about him issuing false invoices and getting paid similar to bates carry on. Seems he learned from the best. I hope Haigh has access to the internet so he can follow the progress of his beloved whites.
I wonder, did we ever sign three quality players previous in one day. Come to think of it, when did we last sign three in a transfer window.
I've said this before, I've no doubt Salerno is one of the most significant moves Cellino made since buying us.
Salerno seems to really know his stuff re conducting transfers. This whole koan a player for a year with buy on option is a brilliant way of conducting business. We no longer have to worry about the financial impact of ending up with donkeys.
Last piece of business left for him is how will he shift Morisson and hunt because I've no doubt they have at best a week left in their Leeds careers

Billy cost us £600k which all went to him as it covered the price of his remaining Southampton contract and for that Billy took a 50% pay cut to come to us. I know he turned us down in the past, but what Bates was offering was a joke and he would never work for him or the likes of Warnock as some history there.

Things are looking good at the moment but Hock doesn't know his best team normally so will be really fooked now with this lot. If we get Agard I will be chuffed because he can play out wide or up top and score goals. Billy given service will score goals, Ajose can score goals and play wide, The Duke can score goals and play wide. That surely must mean no more outings for Hunt or Morison or even Poleon as we would still have Smith too.

Going to be a battle to get a shirt now as we have a lot of quality and more quality than the Hock has ever seen in his dressing room, lets hope he knows how to use them.

Morning Doc, there were several article in the last 24 hours stating a fee of 1.8m had been agreed. Yet, friends of mine with close connections to St Mary's were assuring me it was a free transfer.

£600k Too sign for you and pick up over £1m in wages over 2 years, a bit of a no brainer really.

    Morning Eire,

The positivity, and the transfer frenzy remind me of the Ridsdale era at the time...<yikes>

Morning all, thanks for another great thread elland ... Sharp, Cooper, Bellusci is just WOW!!! As Doc says, Hock and Junior better put on their sunnys when looking at the diamonds in their dressing room now and better quickly stop their blind "loyalty" to the dross ... if Hunt is in the squad on Saturday I will astonished, because he simply isn't good enough or fit enough to warrant selection ... Bradford will be very tough, and our new lads will quickly understand Yorkshire football, that's for sure, then again Hock will throw the tie as he concentrates on finishing 19th ... agree with Eire that our best signing has been Salerno, the calming influence after the Cellino whirlwind has made a noise, and he no doubt worked extremely hard to save the Bellusci deal weeks after Cellino effectively publicly killed it ... now, can we all club together to get a fcuk off big taxi for the dross that's left behind? Well, maybe only Kenny will fit in it

Agreed but we didn't have forums ant twitter to analyse risdales activity. He may not have got away with it or at leas we'd have been aware of his feck ups. Any fan not on the net in the present era would probably think bates did a great job as the press never covered his carryings on

Cheers pal <ok> and a very good morning to ya...

We have a great selection of players now, and with a couple more to come, I can see bookies turning their attention to Bermonsey as far as relegation is concerned.

How Hunt has been able to play as many games as he has is anyone's guess.

Norris, Tonge, White, Poleon, Hunt, Kenny, Warnock. We will need a mini bus....

Good morning Matt and his boys from a slightly sunny Cote de Bardsey
Well what a day we had with some more to come and hopefully to go!
Billy came for 600k and we have saved taking into account what we paid Ross probably a minimum of 500k in wages alone we have gained an honest striker who won't cause waves and spit his dummy out in otherwords a model professional unlike RossI for one was glad he went and so are the girls behind the bar at the New Inn from what I heard from them.
Now for Agard and then we cam get down to the serious job of rebuilding Berardi ones he gets his head into gear and losses that Bruce Lee image will be a great aquistion this is up to Hock another great find for me is Charlie Taylor I really have a good feeling about this lad
The Duke has some great attributes but he must learn to leap at the right time and head a ball .We seem to have lost that art in England at one time each team had one the best being Charles who could hand in the air Lofthouse Bobby Smith Denis Law Tony Hately Wynn Davies Gerd Muller thelist was endless now we have 2 boys playing for England who earn vast amounts of money and neither can head a ball Welbeck and Sturridge where are the so called coaches!
I have written my thoughts on our new signings and how I would deal with them I hope you enjoy my ramblings
Whitejock has very kindly invited me down to watch the game at the New Peacock I thought if I'm down there I might as well be in for the lot can some kind person tell me how much it cost for a pensionista
