Agree with all of that. Spurs will end up having to pay a portion of their wages at their new club to get rid of some. Either that or Redknapp rides to the rescue & pays ridiculous wages & transfer fees to about 7 of them!!
Fantasy is great. Messi upfront, then home for Chinese and then a night in with the missus who doesnt moan
Two names in this thread I agree with what ibwt said on negredo. Probably not a great fit but he has some good assets I do agree that just perhaps if we've reasons for not wanting bony that negredo has to have a lot of the same issues The second name mentioned was lloris and it was barely mentioned btw. For me there are 2/3 top keepers out there and this guy is one of them along with neuer if I thought we had any chance..... My god he'd be great for us!!!! Also latest striker name is Rossi.... Not much of an opinion there
I agree with that, Sandro is the only one that could potentailly give us something. A bit more power in midfield could be a good thing. The rest are either ****e or we simply have 2 better players in that position. I also agree with Lucaas - good ol' Arry will come in a take the lot on transfer dead line day, while hanging out his car window talking bolox...
Ha forgot about Keepers - we just have to pray hat Migs stays fit!! I have no confidence in Jones at all. He seriously scares me when I watch him play. Anyway keepers weren't on the list
they were mentioned only once late last night and i read back this morning and had to bring him up cos he's just that good. jones isn't that bad.... well its like this he's a dozy twat who can't concentrate and will flog goals. but if you see him in warm up he actually can distribute the ball better than mingolet and can stop shots too boot. He's still champ level. LLoris would be a huge coup for LFC he's the very best keeper in the league including De gea, and the chelsea pair.
I'd love Negredo, He looked fantastic for City in the first half of last season. He would also not cost a fortune and would be happy being number 2 for Sturridge. My only concern is his injury record. Re. Toure, apparently it was BR that told him there was a place for him here, and he didn't have to leave. I guess he's a good coach for the others and if ilori goes to Bordeaux (+our extra games) we could do with him
I agree. He's a big charachter and would be very useful to have round the place for the youngsters etc. His experience and character are a very useful thing to keep hold of, even if he hardly gets a game. Not sure what wages he's on though - anything too high and I'd rather he did move on.
i have heard 50k ish, not sure how true that is though, i believe he did take a massive pay cut to join us, but again don't know if any truth in it. i shouldn't imagine he would be on that much any way, as if he was, you can be sure he would have been told he doesn't have a future here, not he does.
Shame Shaqiri stayed in Germany...... Reus would be awesome We need a keeper but not as a #2, as a potential #1 Will Alonso get much game time in the new look Madrid? Just asking!
Looks like LVG may sell him if the right price comes in? He reminds me of a slightly crapper version of Daniel Sturridge, but then again Sturridge scored the most PL goals last season compared to other current strikers and Welbeck is not far behind him. Hull is willing to pay £14m for him, we should match that bid!
i was expecting a would you question lol. no i wouldn't personally, don't think he is better than what we have so no point, and added to that utd would never sell to us etc etc and if they did it would be for stupid money only. ok you edited your post, take it back lol.
You know you're getting desperate for a striker when Danny Welbeck seems like a good option He's mince ffs.
I don't rate him to be honest, might be because he's been given the raw deal by being shifted out wide (much like Studge with Chelsea). I think he would be a player BR would be interested in but Utd won't sell to us so no point entertaining it anyway really.
Thats what I exactly think as well. Many fans like Tobes laughed when we got Sturridge, but when we played him as a central attacker, now look at him. Believe same could happen with Welbeck. I know it wont happen, but he will be a better choice than Lambert and Borini.
