No... don't remember what month it was- but it couldn't have been as early as Thanksgiving because we had had frozen rain and ice the night before. Novembers are cold- but doesn't normally get as low as freezing. My guess is January or February, probably February, because it was a warm day, I was in shorts and t-shirt. January is usually cool- but Feb fluctuates between cold one moment and warm the next. Also... by February, I'm ready for the warm weather so I can get outside into nature again... probably wouldn't have been stupid enough to go hiking the day after an ice storm earlier in the winter. Wild Turkeys don't make as good eating as Farm-raised Turkeys. They taste very gamey. (of course, some people like that).
Keep seeing the same cat come through the garden, chocolate, ginger, white and grey coloured one. ****er was sat on the steps looking smug this morning. Someone owns it as it's in good condition. Once had a feral one come visiting and I think living for a while down the back... managed to work it up to come and take food out of my hand and let me give it's head a pat but then it went somewhere else and never saw it again.

Had this one big rat in rustling around until a few weeks ago when I found it dead underneath some plastic sheeting. Must have gone in for the warmth and suffocated to death.
