Not quite sure what you are getting at with this comment but surely a player that has performed at a struggling club is a good indication of his ability; so wouldn't be a risky buy IMO. You'd think that a bigger and better team would give him better service and he'd get even more goals.

like scotland or carrol you mean big difference, any good striker can shine with lesser players but to try it with bigger players is a different story.
He's always maintained he wanted CL football. Has that opportunity not come about, I think he'd still be with us.
