Well we have signed someone very similar in stature and goal scoring ability to McCormack the only difference being one cost £11m and the other about 600k and 500k a least less in wages .To say this has been a great business deal for us would be an understatement well done MC! I feel that looking at Billys past what the boy needs is to feel wanted so give him a great welcome and Hock put your arm round the lad and tell him how good it is to have him here it will make all the difference believe me Cooper has also being signed I have not seen him play so I really cant comment other than he likes to play on the left side of defence where Pearce normally plays so Pearce will have to take the right hand role can he do this? Finally we are in talks according Phil Hay to sign Agard he has a year left on his contract how much will he cost I would think about 500k but he will make a great deal of difference to our shape and score lots of goals lets bring it on!
hey Mike, agree totally, my only concern is still Hock, he now simply cannot select Hunt anymore, not even for the bench ... I am fully expecting Cellino to tell Hock its time to pack away his Hunt cardboard cutout and play proper players ... with Hock not liking Smith, I have a bad feeling that we'll lose the lad soon
100% agree with all, but have a problem with Pearce getting the armband and then bringing in 2 CH who are better than him? Bellusci and Cooper beat Pearce and Wootton to the team sheet, unless the Hock is looking at a back 3 and Byram & Taylor playing wing back roles?
A week ago, if he left, it would have felt like the end of the world, but whether he stays or goes doesn't seem quite so vital anymore, same with Sam.For first time in yonks, we can sell a quality player and replace with better
All in all gents, we are so much better off now than we've been for an age. Even if we were to lose on Saturday, we know that once the Hock fits the jigsaw together we will put in a challenge this season for top 6, and if we don't get promoted, it'll be autos for us next season.
Remember I put us down for 6 place I knew he would not rest MC that is until we have a balanced squad.Agard now swap for Poleon?
You are still relegation fodder - the new players aren't really an improvement on what you have - so still a pony team!!
youve been so long without signing players you are now happy to accept any old dross so still a pony team!!
It's better than the stuff that has left the club or has been consigned to garden leave while contracts run down. Every journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.
Sorry Mighty to disagree with you because you obviously know what you are talking about but can you honestly say these new recruits are no better than the dross of the past is beyond my feeble comprehension,I have only seen 4 of them Bianchi is a class act Silvestri is much better than Fatty Kenny Berardi is a diamond provided he can play within the law and the Duke ones he learns how to jump and head a ball will be an handful I have great hopes on Billy and COOPS the rest I haven't seen yet but will on Saturday
Not quite Shaks. I'm trying to bring us back down to earth. The Hock and Cellino are putting together a very good side. It will, however, take the Hock awhile to fit all the pieces together. When he does, we'll be on for a top 6 finish. All I am saying is that it might take a while during which time the top sides might get too far away from us. Maybe I'll be proven wrong and everything clicks into gear immediately, starting with this Saturday.
This will make Mike happy http://spoughts.co.uk/2014/08/14/leeds-have-bid-accepted-for-sensational-26-goal-forward-reports/?
