Eh? He has scored a goal in every 3 games for England ffs. He's also only 23. It's all a moot point because I can't see him coming here, but how anyone can say he is worse than Long or couldn't score in a brothel I don't know. Who on earth would you be satisfied with; perhaps Rooney or van Persie might fancy a punt at European football? Or maybe we should just get Matty Fryatt back
He's very much a similar player to Long though! He runs tirelessly and is selfless in his play. He it just as good in the air and is better technically, he is also younger with years of European and Premier League experience. He's the step above Long and a player only top 10 teams should be getting. This is all based on whether Man Utd are letting him go.
Just realised he can't come here lads. He's a current England international and coming to City would obviously mean giving that up!
I have never been a fan of Danny Welbeck and really don't want him in the England team however I would be absolutely delighted if this came off. It would be the biggest coup in the clubs history and if Shane long is worth 12 mil, Welbeck is worth a lot more than 14
