Personally I can see Ramirez playing on the wing as the type of player adam was., don't need another winger tbh.

 

Where to start, oh I know:

1. His 80,000 a week wages

Followed by:

2. His generally poor goal scoring record
3. He will not really want to join Hull or Southampton (so could well want more wages)
4. Chances are 14m would not be enough
5. Man United will probably not want to sell. Whilst he will not start they need him as they are playing with 2 strikers. They can't go all season with Rooney, RVP and the the youth team strikers (assuming hernandez is definitely leaving)


The inverse of the majority of the points could be applied to long:

- Lower wages
- Hull accepted a fee we were prepared to pay
- Actually interested in a move etc

I always understood that Chambers was only converted from midfield last summer? Is this incorrect?

If we sell Cork for £3M, its only fair we then buy someone like Jedinak for £15M, hope Les is ready with the offer as we speak.

 

Says that Cork hasn't accepted a new deal and so the club are cashing in rather than losing him for free...

 

Chambers has player rb,cb,cm,rm. But yeah he was mainly a cm for the youth.

I can understand Jack going tbf, Isn't a first choice midfielder. He prob knows this, And doesn't wanna sit on the bench.

Ah jesus, I really don't want to lose Cork. I know people say we have plenty of cover in CM and he wasn't first choice, but I think he could have been, and offered a great deal. Quite disappointing if true, and a tremendous signing for Palace.

 

We can't guarantee him first team football but we've had contract discussions with him. Cork's dad has been sniping about lack of game time on Twitter.

 

He was sniping about lack of contract offers, not game time. We have plodded along long enough to piss him off, so I wouldn't blame him if he jumped ship.

Understandable on both sides there. It's a shame if we lose him only to badly need a player like him in a few months or a year when Morgan leaves, though.

 

No he wasn't, since when has him saying Jack may need a cushion about lack of a contract? Jack's dad has bitched about both contract and playing situations.

 

Seems that two managers now, Koeman and Pochettino, don't really rate Cork. Could that be the reason?
