Isn't it to do with when Serie A/ La Liga start? They're a week or two behind us, so if each leagues' window closed when their season started it'd potentially put "our" boys - Citeh, Arsenal et al - at a disadvantage in the CL.
Thought there would be a logical reasoning , not just something random to piss off supporters !! That sounds like a totally feasible reason.

I have plenty of football in my head what with football season beginning sat,if any of my threads dont grab anyones attention they will just slowly work downwards. Whether i start 20 threads or 100 threads if I think they will add to discussion I will begin them.
