The emphasis is clear, what we want to hear
    An increase of attacking play,
But at Wolves recently, not much did we see
Of an end product there on the day

I´m sure his intent, is sincere and meant
    But what´s slightly worrying me,
Much talking the talk, no walking the walk
Is a poor combination to see

Bravado´s okay, a good card to play
If one can back up those fine words,
With actions to match, otherwise just watch
The vultures descend on our birds

But I´ll not forget, it´s early days yet
And one game does not make a year,
A revival soon, and the Canary balloon
May lift off into the atmosphere

So hope for his sake, that Adams can make
A good start at home, Saturday,
Whatever the score, it´s time that we saw
Intent come alive in our play

Post-match he said, something else that led
Me to wonder just a wee bit,
"Our defence looked strong", now maybe I´m wrong
But too often I saw it split

Our previous chief, took plenty of grief
For talking down our chances, here,
But one can look a pup, for bigging them up
Before there is that much to cheer

And what´s all this mess, picked up by the press
    Between Adams and Pilkington,
Whatever the truth, for goodness sake, strewth!
Keep such things ´in house´ from now on. OTBC

    Only time will tell.....

I must confess, when listening to NA on Canary Call (or any other time), I liked what he had to say and seemed to have good ideas about tactics, how and when to make changes during the game, but maybe (just maybe), he is no better than us lot who see what's going wrong on our monitors.

I want to give him time, and if that means no promotion this season, then I will live with it. The following season would have to be better though.

I do fear for him a bit as I am sure the CR faithful could turn quite quickly this time round, and if that happens I hope they aim the abuse at the board and not NA.

Would just say that my concerns are solely with Adams, I´d hate to see him jeopardise his chances almost before he´s got off the ground. It´s certainly not difficult to imagine that some fans, and probably media too, are already questioning his credibility over this Pilks thing, and although Pilks was stupid to go public and contradict his manager, many fans will consider the fact that Adams perhaps not being entirely truthful, was just as much a sin.

Like you Thai, I do fear for him, if things don´t improve, but rest assured McNally will definitely come in for his share this time, if things do go bells up.

Hi skald bor, your latest effort very much to the point, on this performance the balance is tilting, not smiling one little bit. Same excuses as last season . . . IF . . . We all know the answer to that, tinkers would be redundant ! If we were beginning to assume ascendancy in the second half, what the hell were we doing in the first half ?

    Regards to Carrabuh's friend LOL.

Dont get me wrong, it's one game in and he has a ton of goodwill and time from me to prove me wrong but I remain completely baffled as to how anyone listened to the radio and thought "there speaks a manager". Clearly plenty of people did though and hopefully they are right.

It was listening to him on the radio that reallyput me off in the first place. He's entertaining when talking and passionate about it but I never once thought to myself he'd make a good manager. He sounds far more like a media man than a manager.

In addition, I saw nothing about the youth teamthat screamed tactics, it was very basic and just relied on Chelsea's focus to make better players (oppposed to winning first)and playing progressive way over the easier long balls out that we did.

I liked listening to Adams on the radio, but I don't think he's a manager. My anger is aimed far more at the board for this wretched appointment, the owners heads should roll for this because it really does stink of the kind of incompetance they would push for. If McNally really did believe in this approach then he also has to go.

In my defence, I never said or even suggested that he would, or that I thought he would make a good manager, as with Carrabuh - I liked listening to him and felt that a lot of what he said, was making sense at the time. I am not naive enough to believe that he could or can magically transform the "talk the talk" to the "walk the walk", but I hope he can, as I don't want us anywhere near the bottom end of the Championship again.
