I re-read your pst and decided to add a 'sensible' reply

    1) Probably, and Rogers likes going back to his old club
Wilf's dilemma - will he get half a season to settle at Liverpool the way he did here? I doubt it and he could well find himself loaned out.
    2) Definitely came for European cup football
Wilf's dilemma - unless he expects to win silver at that level or move to team in Europe he will stand out more in the Premier League at a club where he is playing regularly and scoring goals.
    3) Take his chance to move up - agreed
Wilf's dilemma - he seems to need time to acclimatise and he won't get that, while I doubt he would become a Sinclair his time on the pitch might be severely reduced. If he was going to move up he should have done so early in the transfer window.

Thanks for the sensible reply Bob.

How confident of him staying are you now?

I'd give us a 20% chance of keeping him until January.

Bony needs another good season under his belt in my view, that way the top teams will be queuing up to sign him next year, and he might well get a better contract terms for himself, if he is in a rush to bugger off, he could well regret it at his leisure sitting on some fancy bench!................<ok>

Terror's opening remark in the op was "....just a hunch of mine so don't panic."

You do realise there's over a fortnight of the window left do you?

Nope - just pointing out the irony of you calling someone who has made a fair comment a plonker <laugh>

Sorry Phil - don't get that either. Who on earth would be unhappy to see Bony still here? I can't think of a single Swans fan either on this forum or out in the real world that I've spoken to who would be unhappy if he stays at the Club. Did you mean something else? What's Monk got to do with it?

If you have to ask that question Valley you've been smoking something <laugh>

I think you'll find it was Huw that brought him, otherwise Monk would have sold him by now <whistle>

The fact with bony is that there are plenty of clubs being reported in the press as interested in bony but no actual bid has been made. Teams are looking for a more established striker while keeping their options open. they look at the price and have to decide if that price is worth taking a risk for a player who has had one good season in a team that was at the bottom of the league for most of the season. If he is going to go then it will be at the very end of the transfer window where somebody must bite the bullet and take a chance. the clubs are just not sure bony will be good enough at a big team and that is quite understandable....
