with a copy of the mirror whose headline is: 'Panicbuy Striker Long to earn £60k per week while trapped French Superstar Midfielder only collects £9k per week Then the next day's headline: Schneiderlin enraged by massive 2 week fine being handed over to Long as a bonus Twitter headline Cork's Dad is in MELTDOWN
Thought this was a wind up when I read about Shane Long to Southampton for 12.5 million . Could be part of our plan to get you relegated. He's a decent player....just misses his chances more often then not. I thought we had over paid for him. Anyway...Good luck at Southampton Shane Long but not when we play the saints.
Yeah, now she can spend her Saturday nights getting pissed in Reading with her airhead model mates whilst spending Shane's wages. Good riddance.
Shane's not bad at all, a proper professional. His wife is a bit of a gobs**te though, she goes on Twitter rants about the opposition's fans and if she keeps telling Shane to move clubs every time she's 'unsettled' he'll end up getting a reputation as a journeyman.
No probs. He's a real workhorse and he'll run through walls for whatever team he plays for, his finishing needs work but I reckon he'll get 10+ for you this season. Good luck on the opening day!
We should also buy his teammate from the national team, Simon Cox, so that we can have Long-Cox in the attack.
Nothing's been mentioned about Conor Wickham who is probably available for about half the price and considerably younger. I know because he's tall he could be deemed too similar to Pelle but I would have thought they could complement each other.............thoughts ?
Does anyone know what the source of the agreed fee is? I only heard it mentioned on Sky Because it wouldn't have come from us. Which leaves: 1. Made up by Sky to sensationalise the story 2. Leaked by Hull 3. Leaked by agents. I would have thought 2. is the most likely. It also means they are most likely to have included all potential add ons for the max figure to placate fans. Does anyone think the fee is 12m guaranteed (just over time) / or all up front. I would be surprised if that was the case Apologies if this has been discussed earlier in the thread (now 25 pages long...)
