I totally agree with what your saying and all your points. Many of us down here even in the affluent South feel dissatisfaction and discourse . In my area alone
we have educational apartheid as 40% of children go to private schools compared to the national average of 8%. This bleeds the state system as it cherry picks the best teachers in many cases . I am like you far better off financially than the average
person and like you want real opportunities for all . Not a closed old boy network for the silver spooned .
The struggle for a more equal Britain is the ultimate victory but just for Scotland is a hollow victory in comparison .

Considering more people voted for the X-Factor winner than at the last General Election, plenty of people (sadly) do - hence it's a better example of giving the masses bread and circuses than the Premier League.

Is this for real? Possibly over a 12/13 week series if you add them all up, but not in one go, surely? Plus I guess some muppets will vote multiple times - so more votes, but fewer people?

I don't want to get into the wider debate, but this might have more to do with the major party backing the campaign being self-confessed nationalists! <laugh>

Certainly over the entire run it dwarfs the turnout of a general election.

PNP the SNP is the Scottish National Party that is not Nationalist Party. Bearing in mind the definition of Nationalist is also Extreme believing that you are superior etc.. This is a political trick to equate the SNP with the BNP and even the Nazis which of course is where the term gets it definition of racist xenophobic policies.

The Union case has hinged on what it has called itself Project Fear, and they have been quite successful in this. If we do loose this referrendum it will be because people were frightened of change. The policies of the SNP are there for people to see and they are quite clearly a Social
Democratic party in the modern European tradition.

If NO should win the people of Scotland will see quite clearly in the next 5 years whay they should have voted YES so I do not expect this issue to go away any time soon.

I am working with Business forScotland http://www.businessforscotland.co.uk/ for a YES vote.

Sorry Spurf, but you're just factually incorrect on this one. You're redefining nationalism to be solely extremist nationalism and that's not the case.
The Ukrainians killed today by separatists were described as nationalists everywhere, but nobody's assuming that they're frothing Nazis.
Calling the party the SNP was always going to invite comparisons with the BNP though, so that was probably a mistake.
Very much one of their own making.

With a name like Cameron our PM must be a Scot, as were Blair and Brown and a host of others in government. Sorry Spurf but England is not to blame for your ills.

nationalism /0ˈnaʃ(ə)n(ə)lɪz(ə)m/ noun. L18.
[ORIGIN from national adjective + -ism.]

Devotion to one's nation, patriotism; extreme patriotism marked by a feeling of superiority over other countries. Also, advocacy of or support for national independence; the political programme of a nationalist party.

Scottish nationalism, Welsh nationalism, etc

I didn't say soley PNP I quote above The Oxford English Dictionary definition. It is the highlighted bit that is being refered to when talking about CyberNats and Nats. I know it has the other definition you can see it above but this is politics and I have to counter your flippant remark PNP.

What part of that are you disagreeing with, Spurf? Extreme patriotism isn't extremist nationalism.

David Cameron's father was Scottish, TMT.

A popular misconception. TMT only nutters are blaming England as we have English nutters who hate everything remotely foreign. This is about WESTMINSTER Rule from London. How would I be blaming the English I am English This is about the elite that runs the UK, our ills in Scotland are actually less atm than your ills in England. We still have an NHS, we still have free prescriptions and we still have free University education and that's because we have a devolved government. Wheel clamping is ileagal up here and you get to park your car without hassle :D The point of Independence is to protect these services and increase others.

10% of the population of Scotland is English this is not about ethnicity it is about the land called Scotland and its inhabitants, wherever they originate from.
