trouble with rejecting personal terms it usually leads to protracted negotiation, on one minute, off the next then back on and so on ,we needs it sorting out sooner than later for the best interest of the club.

    My thoughts:

Elmo is only really effective as a wing back in a 3-5-2 formation. He's not a very good right back or right midfielder.

It's no secret that Redknapp wants QPR to be able to play that formation next season (he's brought in Hoddle for this reason), hence their interest (if true).

If we sell him then it tells me that we'll be playing 4-4-2 for much of the coming season.

So likely outs... Long Quinn and Elmo. Of those, i'd be most worried about losing Elmo. He gets through a lot of work for us, making him a huge part of the way we play. We'll look a very different side without him, and to a lesser extent Long.

Quinn is a player i love to watch, but as he didn't played play much last season, i suppose we won't see much difference on the field.

Troy Deeney ? I'd take that, he's shown enough to deserve a crack at the prem.

Id hope that if Elmo was to go, we'd get at least £7m. He's not worth that but id rather not let him go.

We could put that money to signing Micah Richards too.

I don't think Elmo is "likely" to go as he seems really settled here and loves playing for SB. Quinn is far more likely to go as he would only be a bit part player this season.

There's so far no truth in the Elmo rumours. Just twitter rumours.

No thanks for Micah Richards. He looked awful for Man City in pre season in that American tournament on Sky.

I think you might need to consider more than just one pre-season tournament before deciding he's not good enough for us.

    Perhaps.

But then he's hardly set the place on fire recently.

I wouldn't be too disappointed to see Elmo go, he's a one trick pony and was responsible for quite a few goals conceded last season. Hopefully it would convince SB to play with proper wingers in Snodgrass and Ince.

If Elmo goes it'd be more significant a loss than Long, given we've done all our work around the 352 and Elmo is key at wingback. Rosenior can fill in there but we don't have anyone else and it's a long season.
