Well this thread is now all ****ed up..

How the **** did it go from a rapist going to play again, to a SBR (one of the finest gents the game has ever known) and anti mag thread?

Blame me. It was I, winding up the mags. I blame you for teaching me the ways of the wind up though.

Same with any club though, nto just Newcastle.

After Di Canio led you boys to beating us 3-0 he was going to strip the club from top to bottom according to most on here. He was the best thing to happen to the club with his "I take no prisoners" attitude.

I'm not saying all people were like that, but a fair few. Again I'm only using this as an example, I'm sure last season there were many Southampton fans saying they won't sell their big players, they'll add in the right places and be challenging for the champions league this year.

Sky created the whole Geordie Nation thing to be fair, but everything else you've said does ring true regarding the Cockney Mafia, King Kev etc.

Again look at Liverpool and King Kenny, Man Utd and the chosen one banner. How many Man Utd fans said they wanted to give Moyes a few years to build a dynasty, after 6 months most of them wanted him gone. All fans say/do silly things which they later regret.

Someone earlier mentioned that Robson was spat at, which of course is disgusting. But was it more likely 5-10 idiots of 50k Newcastle fans. Gone massively off topic here.

Doesn't take much finding mate, it was all the rage at one time,

"Some posters on this site decry the “Geordie Nation” philosophy, as something that is merely an expression of “Mob Mentality”, which is one way of looking at it. Personally I subscribe to something more cerebral…a “Church of Toon” if you will. An overarching love of the club beneath which many differing opinions can gather, and find a unity of purpose."

No mate, as Somb says it was John Hall.

Until all that ****e started I'd called mesel a Geordie for decades.

After that I relinquished my membership and now call mesel 'Durham'.

I remember Newcastle supporters using the phrase and talking about taking over the entire sporting heritage of the NE.

A sporting heritage that included the destruction of Ice Hockey and Basketball. Surprised that the football team didn't implode up it's own arse as well.

I remember the attendances of both going up, when football supporters arrived .... then the novelty wore off and the original fans stayed away.

The football club was rescued by Ashley who was rewarded with death threats and abuse in the ground ........ or did that not happen either <doh>

You'll never find a Mag that has ever called Robson, has a bad thing to say about Mary Poppins or thinks that Ashley has saved them from financially becoming another Portsmouth. It's called DELUSION mate.

Whoa hold your horses, at longer than arms length if possible... We supported that goggle-eyed chump until the day he was told to pack his bags, it wasn't fan pressure that forced him out. We also definitely won't regret Moyes getting the boot!

FWIW I don't think Robson will have lost any love for Newcastle regardless of any abuse he may or may not have got, he was probably too good for this game which was his major flaw I reckon. Too much of a pushover maybe? Who knows?

Saying it doesn't mean it's true ........ I'm a long way from a frenzy mate.

I've just bought tickets to take our lass to the Sheff Utd - Mansfield match so the excitement level is low, not that I'd tell her.

Mind you, Mansfield have sold early 1500 tickets so it might be funny if they win.

Wasn't aimed specifically at you mate. It's that other f**er. <laugh>

Boils my piss a bit when a bloke like GCB (who has no malice or wum in him) posts reasonably on a thread and gets savaged for no other reason that he's a black and white. If it was one of the usual suspects, I wouldn't have bothered. Not often I get narked, but I had a little nibble there.

She's a Mansfield lass mate and encourages me to get to Sunderland games.

I left her alone in Italy twice last season, on holiday, while I flew back for games ....... Sheffield's only 40 minutes <ok>

Went to a Hartlepool a few years ago with the missus shopping when they played Mansfield. Got caught up in 100 a side in the town centre. They've got a few naughty lads, if they've got 1500 going there'll be a bit of chew likely.

    Is Ched Evans playing?
