I might be biased, but I think he is one of the best English DM's and should be called up. However his reputation as a hothead will definitely hinder him, if he can stay red card free this season and keep his performance levels up you like to think he would get a call up

I love him because he is a battler! The Harry highpants of the team! When his name is on the team sheet I feel reassured and every time he's played man city he's ripped them a new arsehole. Their is Definatrly a spot for cats on the England team, they are missing a player of his calibre for sure.

I like Catts but like me his reputation go's before him.
I admire players who totally commit themselves to the cause.
Catts, Bardsley, Ball, Kay, Bolton, Rae.
Not one of them lads would ever shirk a tackle.
Get ****ing stuck in there, that's what I like to see on a football pitch.
    Commitment.

Never really been a fan either, no pass, no shot, no goal scoring ability but hye defo proved me wrong at the back end of the season, was a vital part of us staying up, hope there's been more work on the skills

Aye Billy, he has a reputation, but WMS has pointed out to me - several times now - that his disciplinary record last season was excellent, though he did pick up a few yellow's at the end of the season, which is what you'd expect given the effort overall he put in! He's definitely working hard on his reputation!

Don't get WMS started on you!

If he was good holding midfielder and a goal scorer we would never had been able to obtain him in the first place. Our only chance of ever having a goal scoring holding midfielder is to develop one ourselves. Just think you're expecting a CL player from him, in which case we wouldn't have him anyway. Players who are the total package either A cost too much, or B have aspirations much higher than Sunderland AFC.

What I'm saying is the officiant tackler who closes down players, plays a neat passes and scores as well as create goals that you want is way beyond our pulling power. If they were so readily available for clubs at our stage then everyone would have one. But they don't.
