Keith Downie ‏@SkySports_Keith 1m We're told West Ham have now ended their interest in Sunderland striker Connor Wickham. **** off bubble blowers!
Brucie has a habit of cashing in on players and replacing them with ****e. He's built his Hull team, now it's time to dismantle and rebuild with shoddy bricks.
According to transfermarkt.co.uk no they dont Wickham: Stellar Football Ltd Borini: Marco Antonio De Marchi Recall someone saying that Borini's agent is a monumental knob though due to the amount of clauses and **** he likes in them
Maybe Borini's agent is one of Van halen? http://www.metafilter.com/77391/Van-Halens-No-brown-MampMs-concert-rider-found
Probably me, he has all kinds of clauses involved which seem unimportant at the time. It's only when the player wants to leave that it becomes a problem as Liverpool are finding out. I believe he's after loyalty payments etc before he'll quit Anfield. If he stays Liverpool are looking at a massive loss, on a future fee, as well as another year's wages.
Well fat face is your manager, and it has been known before... A cup game against ****ing Brighton, the useless twat.
No problem, Bruce loves playing people out of position ......... Allan McGregor looks like he has a bit of pace
West Ham have ended their interest in Sunderland striker Connor Wickham after the Wearside club rejected a final bid of £5million for the player, according to Sky Sources. The Hammers have been chasing the former England Under-21 international as they desperately search for a frontline forward to replace the injured Andy Carroll. But manager Gus Poyet insists Wickham, who scored five vital goals in Sunderland’s last six matches to keep them up last season, is not for sale. “There has been an offer for Connor but he is a player we want to keep,” Poyet told Sky Sports. "He (Wickham) was a massive part of our miracle last year. He showed he is ready to play in the Premier League and I am looking forward to playing him this season." Gus Poyet “He was a massive part of our miracle last year. He showed he is ready to play in the Premier League and I am looking forward to playing him this season. “He’s had a great pre-season and if we started the season now he’d be in the starting line-up. I will try my best to keep him. He’s a very important part of our plans.” Wickham, 21, signed for the North-East club for over £8million in 2011 but fell out of favour with previous managers Martin O’Neill and Paolo Di Canio. But he enjoyed resurgence under Poyet last season, scoring 15 goals with striker partner Fabio Borini. Borini returned to Liverpool after his loan deal expired at the end of last term but Poyet remains confident of signing him on a permanent basis after a fee was agreed for his transfer earlier this summer. He said: “He’s a player we know very well and is important to the fans and to us both on and off the pitch. We are still confident in the next few days we can do something with him.”

Sunderland will make one last bid to tie down Connor Wickham on a long-term deal. The striker has a year left on his contract and Sunderland want to protect their £8million investment , rather than lose him on a free next summer. Wickham is the subject of a £4 million bid from West Ham which has been rejected. Crystal Palace are also said to have an interest. But Sunderland are offering well short of the wages the player and his representatives want.
West Ham are watching carefully as Sunderland boss Gus Poyet moves heaven and earth to convince Connor Wickham to sign a new long term deal. The Hammers have already put in two bid believed to be as high as £6 million for the striker but “pulled out” yesterday (Wed) when the Black Cats declared he’s 100 per cent not for sale. However, the Irons realise the Black Cats are playing a high risk game and are standing possibly ready to go ‘all in’ should talks fail. The player is valued at £8m but with loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds behind him plus a low premier League goals tally the Hammers are not going to meet that level of bidding. However, with the England under-21 international keen to talk with the Irons and with a 20-25 per cent pay offer likely to be made, all the balls are still in the air. A source told ClaretandHugh: “We never never say never in this game – I could even visualise seeing a deal for Diafra Sakho resurrected in certain circumstances. It’s called the transfer window!”
Honestly, who the **** wrote this ****? Last season he played 33 games and scored 16 goals and was Aprils player of the month. How did 16 million Carroll get on last season?
