Agree with all the pro Bardo comments, I think Pulis was after him a few seasons ago when Keane left so this might be where this rumour has surfaced. Although if it involved a swap for Matty Etherington it could get interesting.

Having played and watched football all my life, the one thing that is absolutely true is that with a team full of self centred ****ers like Ashley Cole you will win **** all.

With a team full of Bally's or Bardo's you will be competitive, committed and by Christ you will win more than you lose. Ideally you want a mixture of flair and guts but I'll start with guts first as that is hardest to come by in my book.

I see Alan Nixon has taken on a new alias. I was on the Oatcake Stoke forum having a read earlier, and they literally take every rumour as though it is gospel. Link them to a player, they will pretty much believe it. Interesting they seem to be referring to us as their "feeder club". Bless them, I think they've mistaken us loading **** players off to them as us "losing our best players to the almighty Stoke".

before last season i would have said let him go but how can we let a guy go who says F*&k it i'll show them what i can do and they'll have to pick me!
He was by far the standout over the season, maybe he does get dragged infield a bit but an absolute 100% that i wouldn't want to go to a club who will be around our level next season, 10 more with his attitude for starters coupled with their abilities in relevant positions and we'd worry a few more teams.
think maybe he would make a good skipper, probably spend more games on the park than clattermole for a start

before last season i would have said let him go but he rolled his sleeves up and fought for his spot, maybe him and richo as a left side partnership would have an impact, overlapping/covering for each other.
bardo was the standout for me and getting player of the year he was for a lot more, matbe would make a good skipper, at least he'd probably be on the park more than clattermole

Thank **** we eventually finished above them last season.

I think they'll struggle next season, personally.

You should go and have a read. The amount of anti Sunderland stuff there is staggering. I think Ive grown to hate Stoke more than any other team recently. The Mags are our rivals, but I hate Stoke more.

Their fans are unrealistic and arrogant, with a sense of entitlement, delusions of grandeur, and an enormous chip on their shoulders. Their players are a bunch of dirty cloggers. Their manager is a grumpy, bullying individual, with zero imagination whose tactics have remained the same "Kick the ball long" "Throw the ball long" and "Kick the other team as hard as you can". He also, like the fans, seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder and thinks the world is out to get him...which to a degree is true!

I don't buy into the whole "he isn't technically good enough" either. He is good with either foot and doesn't give the ball away often. If you add to that the odd goal and mauling challenge Id say he is worth double the 3 mil and then some. Like many have said, he is very underrated and I can't think of a winger who gave him a real hard time last yr.

I think if this time last year, we had a bid for one, to one and a half million, we might have very well sold him. Now we call him Bardinho ffs. <laugh>

I can honestly say that if I had to watch the ****e Stoke serve up week in week out, I'd pack the game in. They are the most uninspriring, boring mundane predicatble ****e team in the league. Blackpool were entertaining and I'd sooner have them there next season than the long ball football destroyers
