After signing for Hull six months ago and scoring an eye watering 4 goals... He's off to Southampton for £12m... This transfer window has gone insane.
12 million for Shane Long FFS! Make's Borini's 14m look a steal. Wonder how much Southampton will pay for Graham
Good business? bloody excellent business, making a 4-5 milion profit in a few months on an average player. The only downside for them, is it's so close to the start of the season, and who will be his replacement. Hull have had Southamptons trousers down.
When all that malarky with Wickham the other day, and West Ham, and even said then, suprised Southampton don't come in for Wickham, cos they have loads of money. Instead they opted for Long, which is the better?
This and the 11 million Fulham paid for McCormack make the 4 million West Ham bid seem like an insult.
I don't understand why the Hull supporters think this is great news ...... you'd think they were all getting the money shared out between them. If they fail to bring in a replacement they'll start a 'European season' with Jelavic, who can't lead the line, and others who aren't true strikers. A club that just paid such a daft fee, for Snodgrass, isn't in a position to laugh at Southampton.
Bruce wants borini http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ampton-Hull-accept-12million-bid-striker.html
He'll have to offer him big money to move to Hull. If he has qualms about Sunderland then he will definitely think more then twice for a move to Kingston.
Bruce is now desperately looking around for a replacement and all kinds of players will be mentioned by the media. Borini won't be going to Hull. However, Billy Sharp will be going to Southampton.
If this was a 'release clause' situation then Hull, and Bruce, may have had no option but to agree. This could be a bigger blow than the Hull supporters seem to believe.
