Don't know if any of you ever saw him in a film called ' the world according to Garp' it's based on a book by John Irving and is a little bizarre but having read the book then seen the film he just bought the character to life. Great comedian, great actor. Very sad he's gone.
It's only at times like this that you look back and realise how many great films he made. Mrs doubt fire still makes me laugh out loud.

    Genuinely sad loss.

Used to love watching Mork and Mindy (reruns), as a child loved films like Mrs Doubtfire, Jumanji and Hook. Grew up and loved the more adult films like Dead Poets, Good Morning Vietnam and his ability to go and do more serious roles like Insomnia and Will Hunting. Not to mention all the other great roles he's done.

One of the finest comedic actors.

    Extremely sad :(

Think he's brilliant in Mrs Doubtfire (others as well but this was my fave just down to his acting)

    <rose>

Family Guy episode last night on BBC 3 was the Robin Williams one as well just before the news broke

Let me see if I can find it

In an eerie coincidence, BBC Three aired a Robin Williams-centric episode of ‘Family Guy’ featuring a suicide attempt, moments before news of the comic’s tragic death broke.

People who had watched the animated comedy before knowing he was dead took to Twitter to share the “freakishly weird” twist of fate.

"That’s freaky, bbc 3 have just shown the Robin Williams family guy and at the same moment he’s found dead” said one user.

"The news that Robin Williams dies comes out after BBC play a Family Guy episode centred around him. Coincidence or illuminati?” asked another.

"The episode ended just as the news broke about his death," a BBC spokesperson said.

"This was a repeat that we have shown a couple of times before so who could have planned that? It was scheduled more than two weeks ago so it is just an uncanny coincidence.

Robin Williams’ Long Struggle With Addiction

"Some of our people who work here noticed that the death of Robin Williams was announced just as this episode ended.

"It was due to be repeated on Friday but we will not be showing it now.”

The ‘Family Guy’ episode ‘Fatman & Robin’ sees Peter Griffin imbued with the power to turn people into Robin Williams with a single touch. He turns everyone in the city into Robin Williams (or at least characters played by the famous actor), but he attempts suicide after the multiple clones become too much for him to handle.

‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane paid tribute to Williams on Twitter overnight posting: “The world just got a lot less funny. Robin Williams is a tragic loss.”

Watched Mrs Doubtfire recently. Have to say its one of the best comedic roles in film purely cause of what Williams bring to the role. Its Williams at the height of his powers.

Saying that, Juamnji is still my favourite. Watched it over and over again.

I think it must be said there was another side shown in movies like what dreams may come, good will hunting, bicentennial man and dead poets society

Really I saw a really sensitive nature in those that maybe exposed the real man that the more popular kids movies didn't

I mean you will not find a bad one amongst them. The kids stuff are good and have value for all ages but I do think the performances requiring emotion and something more were all good

As in good morning Vietnam. ......

What I don't get about Jumanji watching it again now...

Is how did he disappear as a 10 year old boy, and 26 years later when he comes back, he's a 50 year old man

The Fisher King, lovely poignant movie, laugh out loud one minute, feel like crying the next. Will be even sadder when viewing again in hindsight.

  15. He started playing the game as a ten year old and therefore disappeared to all other humans. Whilst playing the game, he was banished for 26yrs...?

  17. No. First part is everyone else's perspective. Second is Robin Williams' view.

    I don't, just guessing lol

4 New Robin Williams films in post-production to be released in next 12month's.

He has a Xmas film coming out. Night at the museum 3 coming out. (Night at the museum 1&2 were much bigger in the states than in theUK).

He plays the voice of a dog in a film coming out next year. Some non comedy coming out soon too. Some boring tribeca film festival film.

Given his death all 4 will make a lot of money.

No it didn't because he said he's been in the jungle 26 years, and everyone in the real world is 26 years on.

The black dude who wa about 25/30 at the start looks younger than Robin does when he comes back and he was only about 10 at the start!
