May be a PR exercise... but at same time, does us no harm either. She's not rich enough to buy us out-right, but if she bought a minority share from FSG- then between her and LeBron we're getting "star power" which will help bring in fans. What with Liverpool being the club of choice for "Hip Hop" artists now- if Rihanna joins it could soon become trendy to support Liverpool for casual fans... especially overseas fans who don't already have strong alliances to clubs. Could end up bringing us in a lot of money if we start converting pop stars, they will in turn bring in other fans.
According to Wikipedia she's only worth $90mill... no way she can buy the club or even a controlling share of it. She wouldn't be able to run the club... only own part of it (and some of her fans will then go buy Liverpool shirts and give the club money) - no harm in that! Even if this is all PR... or (as most likely) she fails to buy even a part of the club- this has already no doubt sold shirts in parts of the world for us! Supposedly she is serious according to her friends... and is setting up a Barbados football training centre too... she's getting hooked on the sport.
Does us no harm to gain star fans in what looks to be the emerging football market of USA. Now is the time to capitalise on what turned out to be a big summer for football in the US.
I thought she'd be worth more than that. But I got no idea how much. She's global. Still, Pop star play toy, could wreck the club, the owner can kill the club or **** things up I guess it's better than Kanya West wanting to buy us, or Justin Bieber
Most pop stars are rich but not billionaires. I doubt there are many who could afford to buy us. If the highly troubled Liverpool of H&G that was heading to the toilet was worth £300m the club is surely worth at least £600m now given that we have very little debt are prospering commercially... the new tv deals that vastly increase club wealth... and general football related inflation. I doubt there are more than 3 or 4 pop stars in the world with liquid assets to buy us.
Even Bieber is only worth $100 to $200mill according to different estimates on line. Kanye West is $155million
Popstars are rich, obviously, but being the voice and face doesn't make you the money. The writers make more money from a song than the singer then the music company take a cut. Most musicians make more of their money from other things like fashion and making a brand etc.
Sold Suarez to another club..... still got my money Got the warrior deal.... still got my money Bought 100 players later.... still got my money whoOOAooooOOAA All I see is $ all I see is $$$$
Indeed. That's why singers often try to change one or two words in a song written by other people and claim a co-writing credit. Other money-spinners (depending on who owns the rights) are merchandise sales and tours.
This was mentioned on BBC breakfast news. I hate the ****ing horrible bitch and her twatting umbrella, ella, ella
ah c'mon fella... thats years ago and she's much sluttier now. that was her first manufactured bit of sexy dancing. she's got it down now.
I couldn't name a single song she has sung (other than Umbrella, and only because that was in the news article- no idea what it sounds like). I recognise her name of course, I'm aware how famous she is, but if she walked past me on the street I wouldn't recognise her. Same with people like Lady Gaga- I know she is super famous, couldn't name a song she sang, or recognise her on the street if she weren't covered in bacon. I've never really been into pop-culture. Beyoncé s hot though... (don't know any of her songs for that matter) can she buy us?
I think we need some rihanna pictures to turn you guys from gay thoughts like this who can anyone hate a girl who likes football and go round half naked.
