Where has the Elmohammdy story come from going to QPR? Sounds like bull **** and a story to try and unsettle a player just before the first game of the season. A player that is largely seen as one of our most important. Elmo is worth around £10million based on the current market. He has one of if not the best crossing ratio in the league, premiership experience, one of our top players and you have to take in to consideration the values of Ulloa and McCormack.
From the article linked a few posts above. Its obviously a bunch of nonsense, no one was seriously suggesting that he is actually going to go out on loan to QPR.
Just heard Snoddy on 5live bigging up the club and saying he knew a number of players here who advised him to join the club. Sounds as if we've got something going here...Also said how the owners had made him feel wanted, so much so that he couldn't turn them down......Nice one, almost brought a tear to my glass eye.
Yes I heard it also, the presenters were all very complimentary about Steve Bruce, and that he has changed systems mid way through game last season, so wasn't the old fashioned coach like he is made out by some.

From one of their large forums what I can gather is that Southampton seem to think its close to a done deal at 10 mill. Some of them seem a little upset about it and think he is worth about 3-4 million. Others think they should go for a whole host of players before they pay 10 mill for Long. Their inside info is that Longs family does not want to live near Hull and wants to move farther south.

The saints lot on here think it's a nailed on certainty. Just can't see it myself. £10m is a great return but, who the hell would we replace him with?
been confirmed by a very solid, never wrong ITK source at St Mary's that Long to Saints will happen. He doesn't know the fee, but Long hasn't settled up there and Hull have reluctantly allowed him to talk to us after accepting our bid. It's also the understanding of our local station - BBC Radio Solent, that this will likely happen.
About his family not settling in - Southampton is further from the midlands than here, and from his wife's twitter she seems very happy here and is good mates with the rest of the squad's wives/girlfriends etc.
