I know you think it was a great idea. Now you're saying he has ability. Tell us now Rocket, honestly. Have you even seen Kenny Miller play?
I think Temps is cracking player or would be if he had a final ball . Law is a good player as well. Ian Black is making him look bad.
Sorting out the board has to be the top priority. We can worry about getting a decent manager after that.
The Board will be here until either we go bust or someone buys them out. If McCoist goes, you can imagine the calibre of manager that they'll try and get in. "Ladies and Gentleman, we present you with the new Rangers manager, Crawford Baptie."
I agree with this. In the very long list about everything that is wrong at Ibrox Ally isn't in the top five.
That's my worry. I can't see this board having the vision to get in a decent manager. Colin ****er is a name that keeps rearing its ugly head.
Okay okay, we get it. You're a Miller hater and nothing I say or anything he does will ever change your mind
I am not a Miller hater. I don't know the fella but he comes across as thoroughly decent chap. He is however a player with very limited ability. His touch is terrible, his distribution is of a similar standard and in front of goal he is mediocre at best. He has been fortunate to play for Rangers and Celtic in the SPL where it would be harder not to score goals. Yet he can hardly be described as ever being a prolific goal scorer. Yes he gives his all for the club he is playing for and yes he will run all day but imo that doesn't make him a quality player. It makes a him poster boy for every thing that is wrong with some Scottish football fans. "Och he's a great player, he wid run through walls for the team" Too bad he couldny trap a piano though. The worst thing about having Miller in the team is that he lets the rest of the talentless ****s off the hook. Because he will run his heart out the defence and midfield just start pumping high ball in behind for him to run after them. Check out the amount of long diagonal balls that get ****ed into him.
Aye. Has always been the case. Him being first choice striker for scotland for the best part of 10 years merely highlighted quite how s**te we had become at football. Always seemed to me he was in the team not because he was a skilful attacker but because he "gave the defenders a tough time". Apparently international defenders get flustered by an orange-skinned loon running around like a spasticated chicken on amphetamines. His career average is ~1 goal in 3 games. His international career average is 1 in 3.5. That's really not great for a striker that's played 200 odd games for Rangers and Celtic.
Reading through this thread the solution is patently obvious. Play Coisty up front and make Kenny Miller the manager. See I think out my box

One or two matches are not enough to make this judgement. I have discussed this matter on FB, I posted this on June 28th : If by the end of October Rangers are not leading the division or at worst are not engaged in a 'close combat' tussle for top spot, then that would be cause for concern. Now there could be various reasons for Rangers not running away from the rest of the teams, but I hope and expect that Rangers will be leading the division by the turn of the year, all being well, comfortably. I do not expect Rangers to go through the coming season unbeaten, so there will be setbacks. However, if by the turn of the year it becomes evident that Rangers will fail to meet the target, promotion as champions of the division, then Ally McCoist's position as manager will become untenable. Let us hope that situation does NOT materialise ! Last April I posted this on RangersMedia (and repeated it on FB too), it still applies. Ally McCoist has managed Rangers at Levels 1, 3 and 4. At Level 1 he lost the usual two-horse race, but that is something that has happened to other Rangers managers too. However, no other Rangers manager has had his efforts at Level 1 torpedoed by a 10 point deduction for administration. Resuming in the 'Third' Division, Level 4, Ally had a scratch squad, with no pre-season, but it did the job required of it. This season at Level 3 the team has already won the Division, did it with 8 games to spare and remains unbeaten. I agree that the Cup defeats are embarrassing for Rangers, but the Cups are a bonus, not the priority. Football is a results business and where it matters, getting back to Level 1, the good ship Rangers is on course. For that alone I think we should stay the course with Ally McCoist and see how he copes with Level 2. If things do not work out as we all want, I think Ally would put Club before Self (again) and resign.
