I didn't notice that. In that case they probably were drilling - no need for templates for fitting bolts! They're pretty damn quick.

    Perhaps you are both right?

pre-bored holes, metal plate dropped on and bolts in place then use drill/electric screwdriver to tighten nuts? Job done.

Thanks Chris. Of all the debates currently on this board, this is the most pointless....and that's saying something!

What are these bent steels that people are going on about?

Is end of September to include the as yet to be constructed other couple of sections? Seems remarkably quick. Bent steel is the upright you can see at the back of the structure as built so far.

Had my first look at that on Saturday from The Rookery - rather than bent, it looks like two pieces joined at an angle. Odd looking though.

I just wish to see the frames going up on the south side, that will signal the beginning of the end. What's there already is looking good. Will be interested to see how Occupation Road looks when it is finished.

The one oddity is the projection to get the camera box in, it breaks the smooth outside cladding.

Quite a lot of concrete went in last week, maybe that has to go off properly.

Plenty of the little fiddly jobs done - on the roof, the barriers around the entrance/exits, on the ends of each row.

Seems from the time-lapse photos that the piling rig left site 08.30-08.45 on the 15th August. Assuming the concrete was poured as they went along (though I can't really tell) then you still have a reasonable drying time for the concrete, then cap the piles so I reckon a while yet before we see more "tangible" progress, but when we do I think it will be rapid, particularly when they are ready to connect to the existing superstructure. Ground work is usually the most difficult stage.
