Bony is far from a target man. His ball skills and movement are fantastic. He is very good at dropping deep and linking play with little flicks and passes. He also shields the ball very well. Swansea use this a lot with him dropping deep and the quick wide men making runs ahead and feeding off of his creating. He picks out a run well. It would work wonders with Sturridge, Sterling and Markovic etc. I'd happily have Bony at Liverpool. His goal stats are very good to. Apart from Falcoa and Cavani, Bony is my favourite of all the strikers linked to us.
Rodgers says he wants 4 strikers.. Assuming Fabio leaves, that will leave us with just Sturridge and Lambert. Wouldn't surprise me if we bought Eto'o and A N Other.. who that is, I don't know! Wouldn't say no to Bony if I'm honest.
Orgy will most likely take over from Eto'o (assuming the crap on twatter is true, in which case it wouldn't be crap...) Think Fabio will be shown the door sooner rather than later..
Showing him it won't force him through it though. And I still like Borini, would be happy to keep him.
may i ask where rodgers said he wants 4 strikers...i'd be interested to read that. been busy at work so missed it it seems
It's not as simple as just identifying a player and then going out and getting him though, is it? It's not like deciding you need a new telly and nipping down to Currys. I'm sure BR would love to announce we've just signed Falcao, but in the real world, how likely is it? I agree with Greez on this. Debating them is one thing, but it seems like people get genuinely irate over things that are no more than lazy journalism or twitter nonsense.
I think people getting irate is fine as long as they don't throw insults. Its venting and makes peopel feel better sometimes. enjoy
Kelly gone. That was rapid http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Kelly-complete-1-5million-Crystal-Palace.html Best of luck to the lad
Well that was a bit out-of-the-blue. Hopefully he can stay fit and get his career back on track. Good move for all concerned probably.
Should do well under Pulis. Shame for the lad though, injuries prevented him from being a regular for us.
I suppose Kelly was way down the pecking order for either RB or CB as we are awash with defenders and Moreno still to come in. He looked good when he first made the 1st team, but has never recovered from a serious injury and seems a lot slower than he was. Maybe he just needs game time to gey back to where he was a few years ago and he will not get that with us. Good luck to him as long as he plays c**p against us!
Lads there are 3 things. 1. regret... local boy looked like he could be a real asset 2. shame for him, the two injuries made him look really out of form and shape and he just doesn't look like he can cope. certainly not out wide which is where we needed 3. hope... i hope he can secure a CB slot and have a good career but I am willing to take any bet he will never be a 20mil player and he is not the next shawcross. sorry but no he's a good lad but the injuries have done for him. just look at the difference between him coming back and coates coming back... its miles.
not sure if my maths is right but don't we have 49 mill to spend still plus hopefully borini money? and maybe a few others to add like johnson etc. edit, my maths is wrong as don't think i included the kelly money.
It is very sad to see Kelly go. I thought he would stay. Palace have got a real bargain btw. Injury ruined his career here.
