25 years ago they would all have been likely to have been diddling your children with no fear of the consequences. The police would also have been illegally breaking strikes and beating confessions out of the innocent.

Bank managers perhaps aside, they are all more trustworthy now than they would have been 25 years ago. They are all more distrusted now than they were then but that is us not being as naïve as we used to be. Being distrusted probably has made them more honest.

 

Served as draught over there. Had some in San Francisco in June....christ it was amazing.

 

Personal experience with all four. have to agree that perhaps the most trustworthy of the four today is the bank manager, and the least being the police. A genuine copper these days is about as rare as a unicorn

 

I know. I was in a bar in Santa Monica with my Toon top on in March and got treat like a celebrity when the bar keep heard who I support. Got a freebies too. They just wanted to now how the 'Newcastle' tasted compared to back home..
