nope sorry but untrue. a medical is for risk. if a player has a problem that doesn't me out standards... be it heart or be it a knee then he doesn't meet OUR standards. you cannot translate that into uninsurable and so forth. Why? He is a bit of a douche bag, but he isn't bad for a back up striker. Scored 9 goals in 21 apps (half of those as a sub too) which is pretty decent. Wouldnt be a bad shout for one season, for free. Not like he is costing you a big transfer fee.
As I stated, that stat is misleading, he got 5 of those goals in two matches did he not? So that's 4 goals in 19? And if he's on 90-100k that's 1.2 million approx? What's the point in that? **** I think Peterson could manage that many goals for whatever pence he's on currently....

He's not free at all. Even Joe Cole (supposedly free) wanted a 5mill signing on fee on top of his wages which was then paid per week on top of his 90k+ a week salary AND needed paying to him in full before we sold him. God only knows what extortionate fee Eto'o would ask for... Free transfers are not free. You just pay a fee to the player direct rather than a club.
