    Why not?

Sports Option is only available to season ticket holders.

    From post 1

"Season Card holders wishing to book their official travel package should contact sportoptions.com direct on 0207 935 6129 or email [email protected]

(Please note that the Official Travel Package is open to Season Card holders only. Any non-Season Card holders booking through sportoptions.com will have their package cancelled.)

Prioritising those who go through official travel is complete bullshit.

Other than that the priority system is spot on, but it's going to be ruined if it doesn't even go to phase 2 as a result of them selling out to people who go on official travel.

Sports Options would have to fill 3 planes and everyone who went to the first match would have to travel independently for there not to be any tickets left for phase 2.

What planes did they use for Slovakia? Anyone know how many sold if they've sold out?

Right, I get annoyed with some of the things the club does. But for the love of god shut the **** up when you have no idea what you're on about. Do you have any idea what went on in the meeting between the two clubs? Because if you do I would like to see it. The likelihood is that both clubs agreed on a set price of around 25 quid for an adult (which if you ask me isn't totally unreasonable but I can understand how it would stretch some wallets). The 10 quid offer was becauase the thought there was going to be low demand. A massive underestimation paid off as it filled the joint. They've seen there's a demand so like any smart business man, they've upped the prices to increase the revenue. Granted a slightly cheaper ticket will probably be more favourable but I bet even with this the stadium will most likely fill.

Honestly, criticise the hierachy when it's due. Not when you just ****ing feel like having a self pleasure every time you get on this forum

With a 150% increase in prices coupled with the fact that this does not have the added factor of being our first ever European tie I can't see us getting anything like the crowd we got for Trencin

The club made a catastrophic mistake charging £10 against Trencin having woefully misjudged demand, they now intend to make up for it and punish the lousy hooligan fans against Lokeren.

No-one tells him the stadium is sold out with affordable ticket prices, he will not allow it.

You'll get the hardcore fans, most of the season ticket holders will pay. So lets say from the off all of them do (I know they wont but just assume). That's roughly 16-17k if you include corporate. I don't know how many they will get but I'm imagining probably 2k. There's 19 thousand fans, you only have to find 2k more to make up what was at the Trencin game logically. Probably wont sell out but I can still see a decent turnout

The club is a football club, not a travel agency. The sensible thing is to hand it to experts in this field, which is Sports Options.

No, anyone cannot book, it quite clearly states Season Ticket Holders for Sports Direct.

They didn't underestimate anything last week. The prices had already been set between BOTH CLUBS. This was a first, and a one off, there's always hope we'd sell out a game like this, but, nothing is guaranteed, so, they let fans sit where they wanted to, and opened the ground up in a sensible phased manner. It worked brilliantly.

They have not hiked up anything next week, christ on a stick, you really can not be this stupid can you?

You're a ****ing idiot. I've seen your posts.

They misjudged and cocked up the Trenchin home match.

They have messed up the away travel to Lokeren.

Because of them messing up the Trenchin home match it now appears that they are overcharging for the home leg against Lokeren.

Don't you think that's worthy of some criticism? FFS...

This is almost as bad as Crash Gate 9. You're right that they made a mistake in charging 10 quid, everyone will now expect it without realising the actualities of the matter. I don't blame them for upping the price as he's seen there's a demand. 25 quid is still what we would class as a category B game for the premier league. It's not totally unreasonable to be honest, he could make it cheaper but people will pay as long as it's not astronomical (which if we get a glamour tie like Inter Milan in the groups expect it to be 50 quid)

They underestimated the demand for the Trencin game and charged a lower fee. I don't really see that as a mess up actually more marketing sense. If you feel there won't be demand you lower your price. Simple

They haven't messed up the away travel to Lokeren, they have handed it over to an expert of sport travel who can deal with it. Again not a mess up, if City had put travel on themselves and cocked it up you would've just complained more. I understand you have bought with Sport Options, if you don't like it why have you bought it when you could get there much cheaper? You contradict yourself a lot

Firstly, *Trencin as its correctly spelt but you seem to like to spell it phonetically to please yourself, Bravo. The prices of this game are not 'overpriced' to the extent you're making out. It's a shame they're not cheaper but as I said if there is a demand I can see why there's an increase plus both teams would've agreed on price.

Stop picking holes wherever you can measel one out of. It's just boring, repetitive and quite frankly you're getting on everyone's nerves (even Happy Tiger)

So no I don't think it's worthy of criticism, it's simple business marketing that you can't seem to get you pea brain around

I'd say the Trencin game had a 150% reduction in price & with the coming game prices have merely returned to an average norm.

Its unfair that to guarantee tickets you have to use the official travel which coincidently the club will profit from.

It's an odd one, but no doubt that SportOptions asked for a certain allocation. The club have probably set aside an allocation to make sure those that went to Trencin get a ticket should they want one. Like we found out with Wembley, there's no perfect way

Okay. In respect of the away travel, let me ask you this. The club have used a company to organise the travel rather than do it themselves. The club have stipulated that from Thursday season ticket holders who went to AS Trencin can apply for the travel. However, with effect from yesterday anyone could have rung Sport Options directly and booked on. So on Thursday when supporters ring to book they will find that all the places have already gone. Including match tickets of course.

Personally I'm not arsed as i've booked on directly but how does this constitute as the away travel being handed professionally and fairly??

They also said people who were not eligible to book would have their booking cancelled.
