To my relief no one has mentioned the dread words 'caravan' or 'motorhome' yet. Though if you are tempted by the latter I can recommend........ [contains swearing. Indeed that is the point of it]
Yes, it's a lovely place. I like Tavistock as a traditional market two too, which ain't that far away from there of course.
Off to the Ukraine next week then on to Gaza for a few days before spending the last week at a great beach spa in North Korea. The wife and kids will love it! It's a really inexpensive holioday.
Off to Viet Nam and Cambodia on Saturday, will miss opening day hull and tot hot poo games, dear roller can I start thread with scores?
Off to see Symi on Thurday, Stan, having had an argument with the sodding rep who classifies Uber Major to be an adult at 14. If the day turns out to be crap I'm blaming you and shall be seeking a ban of at least one month from the Mods.
I've done a trip from Rhodes to Symi. Was a lovely day. My girlfriend at the time had connections to the battle of Symi in the second world war. Her grandfather was an R.A.F doctor based there when the Germans were bombing it. A building collapsed into it's basement and trapped an S.B.S trooper, pinned by his arm. He was lowered in by his feet and held there by other S.B.S guys while he performed an amputation. All done with bombs dropping around them. I believe he got a Military Cross for it, which in itself makes it a bit of an oddity, R.A.F personnel are awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross as the equivalent level of medal normally.
Not back long from Connemara, great holiday, loads to do. Did a try dive with my eldest boy, really want to get more into it. Booked Gran Canaria for next year, never been.
I'm off on a couple of golfing holidays soon. Crazy golf that is. Days out in Felixstowe and Clacton planned for this week. I'll send you all postcards if I'm not too busy getting tanked up in the clubhouse!

New York in October. Was originally going right now but tried to twin it with somewhere else (for which we all had a separate thread going a few months ago with some great advice cheers) However in the end we decided we were doing it for the sake of it so are just going to NY itself ht week. Me and the missus turned 50 this year so its our treat.
Just come back from a river cruise on the Danube. Stopped off at Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava and two smaller towns in Austria. Although the 'Blue Danube' is really a mucky brown colour it was a fantastic trip.
Been to Egypt, 6 year old daughter went on a camel called "Bobby". She sang "ooh Bobby Zamora" the whole time, we pi**ed ourselves laughing the locals didn't have a clue.
That looks a pretty good lineup. Didn't know Ruts DC were still around. Ade Edmondsons Bad Shepherds are always entertaining. Hope the weather is a bit kinder to the festivals this coming weekend than the one just gone (e.g. Boardmasters). We were at the Wilderness festival. Left early on Sunday due to the rain. Off to Barcelona tomorrow for a couple of days and then a week near Tarragona. Missing the Hull game unfortunately. Was hoping for an away game first up.
Cheers Quality. I really appreciate the contribution and helps add some colour to the day for the kids too.
Your welcome mate. If you get the chance, check out Lindos. Been to two weddings there in St Pauls Bay. Evening dining on the rooftops is awesome. Both quality of the food and the experience.
