Pretty sure he WAS number 1 at Fiorentina. I think he left because he said he wanted to play in the Premier League.
Exactly the reason. He was even willing to not play for few months as he wanted an EPL team. He got his epl team and saints got a good keeper for nothing. Viola wanted to keep him but he had got fed up of serie a
I think Artur was on trial with one of QPR and Everton, and the other (whichever it was) were interested also, in addition to Cortese. Adkins never wanted Boruc and told Cortese that. Nicola signed Artur anyway. When the bottle incident happened, Nigel had an excuse.
He was definitely on trial at Everton, but I think Moyes rejected him due to fitness concerns. As FLT said, he was overweight when we signed him then he lost it but after his injury he piled it on again. Without being too harsh, he's looked quite big this pre-season.
Yes you are correct. The bottle incident did not go down well as chairman and manager were already at war over signing and adkins got his much needed excuse. No excuses for it. That is where his temper lets him down or he'd have got match fit much quicker
He's big. Especially upper body. It isn fat. He lost a lot of weight when he first joined viola that even had their medical team concerned. He has at times been over weight but that mainly was in his celtic days.
No doubt about it, Artur has been great for us and is one of my favourite players that actually remains. To lose him as well would hurt but also I would understand at this point if he wanted to leave. I just find it quite funny that in one of the only sections of the team we don't have a void to fill, we splash out loads of money. I hope Forster is the roaring success we hope him to be.
Ye exactly. Unless the rumour i was told is true. They price him way out what anyone would pay for someone shortly being a free agent thus forcing him to stay and it becomes next summers problem
Adkins being happy with Kelvin and Gazza has to go down as his worst managerial decision yet. Thank god he was overruled.
Davis was, oddly, better in the Championship than he was in L1 when we got promoted. Not sure how he was seen as better than Schmeichel, Green and Speroni in 11/12 though.
He was really good in the Championship but as soon as we reached the Prem it became clear he sadly wasn't up to it. Much like with Jos and Billy, I wish he was.
yeah jos is really cool, I just watched the interview he did a month or so ago, why can't he be better at football?
