I will be trying for two tickets on Friday, its a bit of a lottery though. I reckon that there could be around 600 on sale on Friday on a first come first basis. Just guess work. I am not booking any travel until I know if I have tickets.
Some of the prices being quoted are away with the fairies. ffs, talk about the big rip off by some operators. With a ticket allocation of less than 1300 some fans may well be disapointed mind.
£330 on the club trip is outrageous. They should have run a coach trip, it's driving distance. I'm driving there and back on the day I think.
The missus is off Friday with all her family to some sort of play/musical and we have a two year old with no one else available to babysit, so as an overnight stay would still mean being up and off at silly o'clock in the morning, just makes sense to do it all in one go to me.
I can't speak for the trip the day before the game. I'm not sure whether they were sports options too. My flight at 7 am the day of the game filled a 737 and had 4 full coaches of fans.
I did the sport options trip to Slovakia, heard it was 200 people give or take. It wasn't the cheapest option but dead easy because everything was done for you. Good choice if you have limited time off/childcare issues.
I wonder if the club makes a profit and how much profit is being made by the company arranging the official travel?
How about priority booking for those who bought a ticket for QPR away, weeks ago, before any European games had been played. Surely the league is more important?
i'd imagine the club gets some commision, and i'd figure a atleast a decent amount of profit, otherwise it wouldn't be running then again, chartering a plane for a few hundred fans can't reward much profit
I think the club has done nothing for the supporters on this trip. They seemed to have just palmed it to Sport options. The club has suggested a preference in order but the reality is anyone can book direct so the ticket preference is not applied. They underestimated the level of support for the home leg last week. They seem to have washed their hands of official away travel next week. And on top of that, they've hiked up the prices massively for the next home leg. They are marketing geniuses. I've seen the cv.
prices are agreed between the two clubs .. so not our clubs fault .. why do you not look into how it works before slagging off the price
Apparently sports options have sold out but they are trying to get a bigger plane. At this rate none are going to be available for season ticket holders! We've got 6 booked on the Eurostar but only me and a mate went to Slovakia, worrying the other 4 wont get tickets due to ridiculous sport options priority.
