From what I remember about the debacle was that we bought the wrong Nunez. We thought we were getting another guy they'd seen on a video supplied by the scouts. Could be my memory playing tricks though. I also seem to recall he went on for half an hour and never played again.
Just my tuppence worth but Martin One'Nill was a worse manager Than Howard ****ingson & Mick Fuxstone combined. Graham was a disaster waiting to happen. I said at the time it would all end in tears but some of you wouldn't have it. Wherever we can offload this Gateshead ****er to will be a blessing.
That's how i remember it too mate. Played against a big Wimbledon side if i remember right and it was comical. We thought it was a Nunez from top flight Montivideo but he was actually playing for Montivideo Athletic or something who were in the 3rd div lol...
Good grief Billy, I`d forgotten all about him. You had to remind me didn`t you? twat Bob Murray was hiding under the bed for about 2 months then surfaced to the tune of "other teams have 1 top class manager, we now have 2" at the unveiling of Wilkinson and Cotterill. Can you remember that?
We'd have been better off signing Stephen Graham, at least he can act. Danny couldn't piss on a ****ing dandelion. Not sure if they're related like.
Aye we got the wrong player. He was a pro though, Milton only hung up his boots two seasons ago. He played 86 times for Honduras
