Mistaken for Strangers - film about the band The National recorded and directed by the singers slacker brother - really really good. Can this thread not get stickied?
I wouldn't mind stickying it as it's used a lot but think we can enough sticky threads at the moment mate.
Watched 'The Impossible' last night A true story about one British family that was in a resort very near the beach when the Tsunami hit Thailand. Enjoyed it 8/10

Good film that. I had a few problems with some of the characterisations though. Plus a relevant one to watch with Hurricane Bertha hitting England tomorrow morning.
Very weird but as you say enjoyable. Watched.............. Odd Thomas http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1767354/
After about 3 years of planning on watching it ive just pressed play on episode one of season one of the wire. Recently finished game of thrones in full and season one of the sopranos (epic).
I know I saw Trainspotting... and I remember wondering what all the fuss was about... can't remember a single thing about the plot other than it was set in Scotland, I think. Oddly, I can picture the book-cover in my mind. (worked in a bookstore at the time).
Watched The Nut Job at the cinema earlier. Despite being disappointed that it wasn't about Gonzo, it was a decent watch, plus the kids enjoyed it too
