there was a lot of laughing at LFC as the press finally turned up for dortmund game and saw the suarez thing still there. It was amateurish to have it still up IMO. Better put sturridge up IMO.
see my comment regarding rodgers position if he fails to get someone and we see sturrdige injured then. We must see 9 managers sacked last season and not forget the pressure even Rafa finally came under. Slip to 6th (in an ultra competitive league) all it takes is slow rickie for 4months
They won't blame Rodgers for not signing a striker unless Rodgers is truly to blame... something I doubt. If Rodgers asked them to get him a striker- and they didn't and we drop points because Studge is injured- they won't blame him.
Liverpool have yet to meet Sevilla's valuation for defender Alberto Moreno according to their club president. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been chasing the highly-rated Spanish international for most of the summer and he is expected to land the 22-year-old before the window shuts at the end of the month. Sevilla president Jose Castro is holding out for £16m for the full-back and claims that he will not be sold unless their valuation is met. "There have been negotiations [for Moreno], eight or 10 days ago, but there has been no agreement and nor is there today," Castro told the club's official website on Monday. "If Liverpool's offer is suitable he will leave. If not, he'll stay and nothing will happen, absolutely nothing. We'll be at ease."
Anyone else bored with the whole Moreno situation yet? ****s been dragging on since the start of the transfer window. If we aren't willing to meet the price then we should have moved on by now, playing hardball on this one isn't going to work. Sevilla don't need to sell nor do they really want to, the player seems unwilling to force a move and with time passing we look more desperate and will probably end up paying the price anyway. All this ****ing about is just wasting time. Hope this isn't quibbling over a couple of million
who fsg... the media will the thing is all that matter is resutl so grind 4 month with 1-0s and such fine but don't win for 7/8 games and the pressure is on... every media interview, fans etc etc. whatever FSG are they don't seem to be that fickle but you never ever know. We need a forward, we've 20 days to get one and we lost remy over whatever. for that reason i am kind of skeptical about any longer term targets being turned to and this being a who's available kind of issue.
if we do not meet the figure Sevilla have asked for Moreno then we don't get him. We refused to sell Suarez last year so we can't blame other teams for wanting what they see as a reasonable figure for selling a player they do not want to get rid of. WE either pay what they want £16m or we walk away and try again in the future when his value may have dropped if his contract is nearing the end.
Odd, because I thought we had offered £16m and they were holding out for £20m... now that says they only want £16m which if true, make you wonder what our initial bid was
Ilori being linked with a loan move to Bordeaux.. Can't see the reaoning behind loaning him out abroad again. http://talksport.com/football/liverpool-starlet-set-bordeaux-loan-140811106933
To be fair, he'd fit in well wit the other CB's Greer who is 33 and Hughes who is 34 Add Bruno & Calderon the other fullbacks who are 32 and it's one "experienced" back 4!
Where has he even been? Wasn't on any of the US tour or in the squad for the Dortmund game. Is he injured? If not seems pretty clear he's headed away
In the end our clubs not opened its mouth once on this so its all from seville and speculation plus in the know press guys like rhc's bum chum who said it was done. I would love to say we've moved on. who knows one way or the other.
That's because they can, it's the responsibility of the buying club to make things happen. Either up the price or move on.
The French league is the most similar in style to the English but a bit lower level, so from that sense it makes sense. Good experience as he builds up to PL level. He will still be in a quick league and face world class players. If a PL club doesnt make a move then going to Bordeaux is better than going down a division. I think a loan to France could benefit a lot of young English players. Clubs should look in to this. It'll help them and the national team.
My point was that it might not be us who are messing about, we might be being messed about with. However, we don't know what's going on. As ever, all we have to go on is what the hacks say and as we know, they just make it up as they go along. And change their story every 5 minutes.
