I mean he is bascially talking bollox and not taking into account and long standing LFC plans to fill squad holes In short we had lallana, lovern and lambert... and can on a list. that is 25,20,4 and 10 = 59 mil... now i am SURE the moreno deal took longer intially in may/june as we didn't plan on shifting suarez but were trying to shift others like borini and assaidi to pay for it. We had 60mil to spend... 20 form january and 40 form this summer including cl spend. so whats francis saying.... we are unbalanced? no he clearly doesn't get it... lovern is crucial to stabise the defense, can is important for the future and now in midfield. rodgers direct quote is "i couldn't replace henderson" when asked about losing league title..... Lallana makes no sense to me personally but ho hey... we had moses in there and he was a dog. and Lambert is a third option! so out of 75mil... we spend about 20 on markovic who mr francis has not yet even seen... leaving 55mil for said striker... and by the by the thick F has forgotten we tried for remy as an alternative. I feel as though the squad is MORE rounded but has 3 huge gaps. It's mostly BS that's true. Trying to make a case that our signings are unstructured and spontaneous is ridiculous. The squad is in much much better shape now. I think Suarez going has meant that the focus has shifted away from all the inevitable questions around him - when will he play again, when will he leave, what's his favourite flavoured premier league shirt - and has become more purely about the team and getting the balance right across the pitch. I just thought what he was saying about Lambert was interesting. He has looked and been unimpressive, probably the least impressive signing we have made this window (so far... and there's a whole season for that to change) in pre-season.

Seems like a bit of a hatchet job to me. Lambo has struggled a bit so far, but it's early days, and he's not a direct replacement anyway. Besides, I can see with my own eyes and don't really need Trev's words of wisdom to enlighten me. Articles like this irritate me, tbh. He says: So what is his job? Getting paid for stating the bleedin' obvious? People who bang on about problems when they have no solutions themselves are just filling space and wasting time.

For me if the guy scores say 5-10 goals the money is well spent, provided those goals are say more than aspas provided for 7mil... in short if the guy gets us through the league cup early rounds and supports us with 20mins at the end of games to rest sturridge and we then see us get the points etc.... certinaly 4mil to get that is money well spent these days I mean for me the only questions as of now are when will moreno sign? How to imporve the goalkeeper slot Who will we buy up front We have can who's looked tasty enough for his age, and in actually competitive mode might look even better... we've markovic as a player who could double in value and we've lovern to orgnaise the defense... and frankly if manquillo can look like a real player its a huge bonus. LFC IMO are much imporved right up to suarez position and frankly finding a replacement is very hard.
Been said before, you don't replace a player like that, too unique. You buy different players with distinct positive attributes to compensate for his absence. That's the best way I can think of putting it. There is no like for like there. Those are three good questions but I would also ask who's going to be the rock and dominate in midfield (Dwayne Johnson can't sign because the season conflicts with the production schedules for his **** upcoming films)
Never been a huge fan of Higuian. Don't think he offers an awful lot in terms of running behind, holding the ball up drifting wide etc.
Aye... we'll sign someone.. who, phuck knows! I'm sure Rodgers will get the right player in that fits our philosophy now and going forward, if that's Bony, Higuain, Other, so be it!
I believe we are trying to sign people... there is no guarantee though. I remember the season we let Carroll go on loan... that summer we tried to sign someone too! Think we may have learned from that though... I HOPE we have.
