hey guys, was wondering if you were to lose Cesc do you think we will have a chance against you guys on the 4th game in? he would be a massive miss for you. you guys play the best football in the prem and we had so many plaudits last season from the way we play would be a great game to watch, with 2 teams playing football the right way.
Afraid not. Arsenal have played many of their games without him being influential this season. The rise of Wilshere and Ramsey will give a good example of how we're preparing. Actually, as you've just been promoted, Fabregas might not have played anyway. Good luck for the season though. I just don't think you should be getting ahead of yourselves.
nah we are keeping our feet firmly on the ground. but we can also dream. cant wait to get the season started as we get to put our style of football on show in the best league in the world. good luck for the season
Teams that play football in the right spirit, and in the right way, are always welcome in the Premiership. Perhaps Swansea can be this years Blackpool, but be that little more successful and stick around. They will be exciting to watch, and have every chance of establishing themselves. I should imagine that Arsenal will beat them, purely through superior quality. But they did lose to West Ham last year who finished bottom so who knows!? I imagine Swansea will definitely kill a few giants this season. The best of luck, in all but 2 of your games
we have a better defense that what blackpool had. just hope our guys just go out and play our game and dont find get nervous about being in the prem and the big grounds. but as you say you can destroy us but thats only if we leave you.
Should be a good game. I'm quite pleased to have a Welsh club in the Prem simply because I'm bored of the archetypal English clubs like Hull, Stoke, Birmingham and Blackpool. Hopefully you'll add a lot to the league.
I'm not sure you can mix it with us. But Wigan should go down next season, they've been just about staying up for far too long, so you can have their place (whatever position you end up in).
Fourth game in is a easy/must win 3 points. Depends how the 3 prior take place. IM hoping man u come out slow at start of season we generally come out really strong. Newcaste - win, liverpool - win, Man u - draw , Swansea - 4nil
Show no fear. 2nd season syndrome claims a lot of clubs. What's your stadium capacity? Your commercial revenues will skyrocket now you're in the Premiership. If you can be doing reasonably well at Christmas (more than say 6 points ahead of relegation) you should be able to attract a couple of players in January. Then if you stay up, you'll get more. From here on it is HUGELY about the manager and buying smart. Hull didn't do it, they lost out, Blackpool didn't have the budget for it, they lost out. If the Swans can start strong and buy smart you could stick around for a long while. There's a huge crowd to draw on down in Swansea too. They're rugby mad in general, but they haven't ever had a football team to cheer on. If you start well, and some of the Premiership Fever affects the city, you'll suddenly have a big boost in revenues. You're the only football club in an area of 270,000 people. While that's not massive, you have the monopoly of them. Compare that to Bolton who have only 140,000 and are an established Premiership Club, and you could go far.
i don t think we wll be much of a walk over. Man city first game so its going to be a eye opener for us. then we got 2 homes games then we got you guys. so we should be by that time ready for you.
We're gonna smash you arsenal will hammer you right into the ****ing groundd rraawwrrr we're gonna ****ing eat you! Bendtner will eat your children!
our stadium hold about 22,250. but we have sold out all ST's and then its 2000 on sale for general pulic or some where along those lines. we gaive about 2500 to away fans. our chairman wont just spend money he tryes to get good deals. wont over pay players as we are a small club with small wages
enjoy your one season in the top flight. Welsh teams do not belong . Simples. Oh i have highlighted this for you so you can see that coming onto our board to make your small club look good has not worked
how can you say we dont belong? as most welsh clubs been playing in these leagues longer than most english clubs.
not a huge stadium then. any possibility for expansion? i know Blackpool are using the money from their parachute payments to upgrade their ground. since they play football in a good way, i'm hoping the Swans look for a couple of Arsenal youngsters on loan. Botelho, if he's not going into the 1st team would be good - he's a pacey left winger. Frimpong or Coquelin, whichever doesn't make the 1st team should be available, both decent defensive midfielders. Otherwise, Bartley, a young CB who'se already played for Sheffield United, and was rated their best player, and gained good reviews playing for Rangers for the 2nd half of last season. Plus Vela, a good, clinical finisher who'se just not quite suited to the Arsenal system. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of Arsenal youngsters at the Swans.
as our formation is we play attacking football. a 433. we have a good left winger in Scott Sinclair. but we do need to strengthen our defense as we lack a bit of pace with our CB. i would mind having Vela on loan the guy has a future. i really do rate him.
sinclair is hot property - i'd tie him to a new contract this summer if i were in charge, because if he performs this year he'll be a wanted man next summer. Vela & Bartley would sort you right out. Get on the phone to Arsene and Gazidis & see what you can sort out.
Can we have them on a free transfer? Scott was class for us last year. i think he is out to prove a point to Chelsea this year, as they wouldnt allow him First team football. but we have a young squad. who want to play for us and take the club forward. we are an ambitious club and want to improve every season
