seriously... well there are a couple of scenarios where i could see LFC fans blaming rodgers big style. they are not the most likely scenarios but FLC fans need to accept not everyone is so optimistic about the clubs chances for a coupel of reasons and if you ignore the biased ones and accept that if LFc go into September and find sturridge out for 3 months we could come out into january in 6th in the table and out of europe facing a fight to get 4th come the new year. We have to realize that SUCCESS is all that matters so if the Rodgers revolution stalls he'll come under inevitable pressure. Say for example he can't buy a win in 7 or 8 games in the league... how many other clubs have you seen the pressure come on in. 100million in players will come up and so forth. No i personally think that rodgers realises it himself and has opened talked of a striker for a reason... he's making the upper club morons realise that what he said to them in private is not just a manager just wanting more all the time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what LFC needs but football chairmen and cheif executives rarely display common sense even. I think our defense is about to look a lot better but our midfield with gerrard won't unless the old man is rested for 50% of games. Its then purely a question to my mind of not talking about be delivering the "penetration" and postive possession with intent rodgers talks about. Frankly lambert can deliver a focal point to lump it up to when you are under pressure and need to defend against top sides but he cannot get in behind anyone, suarez was not fast, just fast enough but he could get in behind as it was his first thought. we need a player who's got a bit of pace and wants to ge tin the box now. thats not replacing the suarez moments of brilliance but it will make our game tick somewhat. I think we've enough right now to go for 4th but i feel we are one or two shy of a title challenge and that is up front in particular.
No worries about Gerrard lasting the season, MITO. He doesn't need to play in the domestic cups anymore because we've got a fair bit of midfield depth now. He can start the CL/PL games but be taken off come 60mins if things are comfortable, but stay on for the tighter games. Rodgers, I think given what Stevie's said about England retirement, will be fine not playing Gerrard every minute of every game and I think Steve will be fine with that too. I do agree that we'll be in deep **** without another striker though God forbid Sturridge gets injured. I think we'll get one.
I think BR is 'safe as' for this season at least.We would have to do really poorly for any pressure to mount and I just can't see that happening. Only a matter of time before we sign another striker to cover Studge
