****!! Arteta has been named the captain for the year! Which means we won't get a player to replace him! Damn it!! Clearly the weak link and I believe this will stop us from winning trophies. What do u think?
Verm was captain and he barely played. Arteta was Vice-Captain before and it'd be a poor decision to overlook him for the armband
He's not 'clearly' the weak link. When you consider he was our best tackler and passer last Season. (statistically) But i do think his lack of pace and power can be a problem. I do think Flamini is decent cover though.

City NEVER stroll around looking disinterested. anyone who thinks that is in for a shock next season . They only need 10 seconds to score a goal . The trick is to not give them 10 seconds , if you do it , it looks like they are not capable. The truth is , its because you didnt give them 10 seconds.

This season, no. Today, possibly. I take nothing away, your players were up for it and did what they had to. 3 decent goals and a lot for you to be optimitic about. Just think next time you play City, they will be a tougher proposition.

I agree its not exactly trolling , just banter . Just as some guy on your forum said we had just beat Citys " reserves ". That was amusing because if theres one bunch of reserves you dont wanna play its Citys , with their squad , their "reserves " and first team are barely discernable.
yes but verm started the season and then lost it during a bad spell during the season. Surely Wenger will now not get some one like Khedira and then place Arteta straight on the bench?
I agree , the loose canons are Manure , will Van Butthead hit the ground running or will it take another season before they start to be serious contenders again . This season could be a cracker !
You could argue that we played our reserves today ! As we didn't play ozil, BFg, podolski, theo, and we didn't start with ox or giroud

I don't think Arteta is the right choice but I do still rate him. I just think Mertesacker seems like more of a leader. Wenger's made several weird Captain decisions over the years.
