I hope Adel stays and this is the season that he shines and becomes a legend QPR 10.

    He'll be gone in person by deadline day, he left in spirit the moment we were promoted in 2011...

    I sadly agree with you 100%.

    I hope we sign that skilful player from France (forgot his name) so we can say a big "so long!" to Taarabt.

    With us being linked with even more midfielders he might be fighting for a regular place in the team ... and may not win.

    This from a person who started a thread bleating about his posts being ignored. Toughen up!

    I read your posts with increasing amusement.

    Interesting re Barton, he's now just a medium sized fish in a small pond. Perhaps he is talking himself out of the team, given the endless line of midfielders we seem to be linked with. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

    Re the OP, I'm just glad Swords and Queens are absent at the moment. I'd love to see him as our number 10, but can't see it happening and just wish the whole thing was over and done with. Not playing him will cost us £3.4m for the year in wages, I don't think its an option to let him train with the kids. If not sold he'll be loaned out again.

    I think for certain players you have to have a different set of rules, as Eric Cantona at Manchester United proved.

    http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/united-captains-eric-cantona.1634786/

    There is no doubt that Cantona needed careful handling, and Gordon Strachan who was the then Leeds captain, had already talked to Ferguson about this. He warned the United manager that when things were not going well he tended to hide and sulk.

    Ferguson decided that the Frenchman needed more than careful handling and decided to treat him with kid-gloves. Ferguson never lost his temper with him, nor did he enforce some of the more stricter rules that applied to his senior players.

    He was also very careful after Cantona’s first game for the club never to demote him to the substitute’s bench. In his own words Ferguson was to explain;

    “I had to perform a bit of a U-turn on my usual policy and accept that we had a different type of player around the house.”
