To be fair you should probably hoy us in there as well - and stoke! I'm confident personally but you never can tell, especially with Sunderland. I would say chuck the mags in also but Pardew could shag Ashley's wife and he'd still be safe - 8 years
I'm only including relegation candidates and Newcastle won't be one of them, or Stoke imo. I can't see us being in any bother this season tbh, we finished the season well and have made some good signings.
This is shocking from Monk, in my opinion, for many reasons, sounds just like Pardew getting his excuses in early, Swansea City manager Garry Monk said he was disappointed with his team's display in the 3-0 defeat against Villarreal in their final pre-season friendly at the Liberty Stadium. Monk's team was outclassed in their final game before kicking off the new season at Manchester United on 16 August. "We made too many mistakes and our decision making was poor," said Monk. "The way they play and the way they are set up is probably two or three years ahead of us," he added. "They're a very settled and a very fluid side and I said to the players afterwards that's what we have to aspire to." If I was a Swansea supporter I'd be fearing the worst. Their first game is the PL's first match, away at Old Trafford, where the United players won't dare lose.
Hull finished below a Sunderland side that were 'relegation certainties' last season. Their form in 2014 is poor. They've already starting playing with a very limited squad and will suffer if they progress in Europe. They can't consider themselves safe imo.
As far as the premiership goes I think anything but a very good start will see Big Sam getting the boot..
So long as we're beating the teams around us, and maybe throwing in some upsets against the big teams, ill be happy. Oh, and Derby victories! That's a must! Mid table boringness for me, and ill consider it a roaring success!
He's a man on a hiding to nowt Smug. A bit like that black chap was at Wolverhampton when Mick Mack got the tin tack.
These buggers are still a bit of a bogey team for us, the players should be made aware of this and not think its going to be a stroll in the park, because it wont be, mark my words.
