Good call Uncle. I had the second (par for the course at the moment) as I thought the stamina would see him home on the ground, one too good however.

Interested to watch this Gay Kelleway juvenile here. Cheap purchase but nice pedigree. The sort she does quite well with.

My favourite 2-y-o's thus far,who haven't competed at Pattern level, are John Gosden's colt Faydhan and Queen Nefertiti of David Wachman who really impressed me on debut in a race that has a solid look to it.

Anyone else have anything that has taken their eye?

As 2yolds, the Hannon pair Tiggy Wiggy and Kool Kompany. They're both for this year I think, and the Hannons'll have the engine out of em, so I don't see either as prospects for next season, but i'll keep following both until the end of this summer.

Edit; although of course, everyone else has noticed too.

Surprised the two War Front colts haven't be pulled...no chance on that ground you'd think.

10/11 looks very generous for Kool Kompany.

I must say that in my opinion those on Mia san triple were done by the jockey change from Hughes to De Sousa. Richard Hughes has ridden the horse to victory twice at Windsor by going to the front immediately and outstaying the rest. As soon as De Sousa took a pull I thought he would lose. He then looked to be getting up but did what many jockeys do in a finish which is to feel compelled to do something or other needless with the whip or reigns instead of just driving.

Delighted to read that Kingman is an intended runner in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville next Sunday. He should definitely get his ground unless they have a heat wave this week in Normandy. I just hope that it is not bucketing down with rain for three hours in Caen like it was the last time I went to Deauville – that day it was so heavy that the first two races (for two year olds) were run on their inner all weather course to save the ground and Goldikova got turned over by Makfi as she could not get her feet out of the mud.
