Which is the biggest load of bs about tomorrow: “Seb is not travelling. He has a bit of a knee problem at the minute and we are resting him. He has not trained for a few days but as a precaution we don’t want to make his knee any worse" or "Luciano has a little niggle yesterday so he won’t be involved."
I don't get it. Just say nothing! Tell us they're still in the reserves. Though I suppose that if no one bids for Bassong he will eventually want to come back in from the cold...
Good luck today lads, I shall try to listen to the match on the wireless. Might be a tough starting fixture as I would expect Wolves to carry over their promotion form. Either way its a long hard season so hopefully you'll get off to a good start. Fingers crossed we'll be playing you again next year but both of us in the Prem.
I see we've come in to joint second favourites at 9/1 after yesterday's games. Fulham have drifted to 12/1 - obviously the bookies realise they've got no chance after losing to that lot.
I'm still not entirely convinced with Neil Adams, so I'm not feeling that confident with this game, got a feeling we lose it. As always though, will be happy to be proven wrong.
Persoanlly I think we have stronger squads than both Cardiff and Fulham and both don't seem to have bought intelligently this summer (Cough McCORMACK Cough). It's going to be teams like Reading, Derby and Wigan who will be at the top in my opinion and I feel we are closer to them with the players we brought in and the players we've kept. I'm genuinely positive about this season and think the worry over Adams is unfounded.
I have a sneaky feeling Wolves could be the surprise package this year. They steamrollered their way through League 1 last season. It's gonna be a very tough game today. Wolves will be really up for it.
Watford will he ones to look out for also, I didn't realise they'd re-signed Vydra from Baggies. Lots of difficult teams this season, we really should take nothing for granted at all.
We will not be promoted unless we address our ridiculous away form, even when Lambchops was in charge we couldn`t score or win away, yes we were in the Premier league but it got to the stage where i stopped going to away games altogether or watching streams. The quicker we get that monkey off our backs the better and today would be a good day to start. O...T...B...C
Nottingham Forest is another one to look out for too. But like its been mentioned before, this is such a tough league with so many good teams in it. Looking forward to kick off.
You do have a short memory. Under Lambert we scored in every single away game in League One, we won 10 or 11 away games in the Championship, then five in the Premier League. We were absolutely outstanding away from home. Edit: in the Championship, we won 10, drew nine and lost just four; absolutely brilliant.
I meant in the PL and Lambert`s away form in terms of winning games was s**t too in the PL.. The last 3 seasons.
