Didn't see our first win of the season against Ipswich, wasn't allowed to go [school night!] but I did see the 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday 4 days later

Yes he did. Also, the amount of games we lost that season by the odd goal, same old problem though, couldn't score enough goals ourselves. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

The first two paragraphs should still be applied. Hopefully we enter it with that attitude and our chance to succeed should increase dramatically.

Just catching up on posts over weekend and saw this one.......

I still have the programme from that game, Leicester were a decent side in those days and had in their side Alan Clarke who was the most expensive player in Britain at the time, a young keeper by the name of Shilton, whatever happened to him?

In truth the club were just not ready for top flight football that season, we had gone straight up from 3rd to 1st division in successive years, although we started ok, a couple of home draws, we were not good enough and culminated with getting tonked 8-1 at Old Trafford......

Still we did manage to beat Stoke last game of the season who had Gordon Banks in goal, he never did enjoy playing at LR....
